i have epiphany and when i bought it 2 years ago the feedneck was the first thing i changed on it.

its a good gun, but its a pain to clean, you have to take apart the whole gun! im thinking of investing in the new "bolt out the back" design to make it easier.

and on new epiphany's the asa sometimes slides back, you just have to tighten the bolt on the inside a few times.

other than that, great gun.

yeah i started out with a spyder E-99 Avant. I was like 10 so idk if it was a good gun... i got an epiphany and it rips. definitely get a clamping feed neck though. i have an eggy3 and it used to twist around when i filled it. overall its a great gun. i dont need a 1000 dollar gun. alls i need is something to get me out there and play a good game of speed ball with. sure its not an ego. but does that mean u cant take it out in a tourney and scrape??

it is straight semi because a lot of people dont know with this gun once you pull the trigger it shoots one obviously and then once you let go it shoots another so when your ramping it makes it extremely fast if it shoots a paintball when you let go of the trigger

i actually have the whole barrel kit so i have different sizes/options at my disposal. and yea matching paint size with barrel sizes will get you better accuracy. the reason why companies give you a large size barrel is cause different parks sell different size paint...

cause im spoiled?! hahaha i have a job and bought the gun with my own money that i worked hard to get. and the epi. is basically an ion and an ion is for beginners wouldnt you say?! it doesnt take much to pick up the gun and shoot it or any gun for that matter. and you gotta remember that you only need one paintball to be taken out so it doesnt really matter what gun you're shooting as long as you know how to, the experience really comes from the player him/herself and not the gun he's using...

first of all, the epi. aint expensive. second, you cant compare the epi. to the shocker. the epi. is going for $200 right now or $250 if you want a pretty color. that is not expensive and its definately more bang for your buck. when i bought mine it was $400 but i got a good deal on it for $350. on the long run this gun we'll be good for him and he still has a choice between the pmr and invert mini, its all up to him. and like i said before, the epi. is just an upgraded and prettier ion...

i never had any problems with my epi. except for that bolt problem where the bolts were snapping in half, but i just waited for it to happen so i'd had an excuse to buy me the L7 bolt which is sweet. im sure there's better ones now and they (smatparts) fixed the bolt problem so you wouldnt have it. but yea if you're going to be serious about speedball then go for it and buy the epi. its a great gun to start with, i love mine and i've had lots of fun with it...

ummm lets see for the diff from a ion and epiphany is its fire champer and trigger set up is diff. the proto rail has a plastic trigger assembly. and the eos has a higher rate of fire than all of them. so a eos is better than the ion ex and the proto rail. and first tell me if ur a begginer cause if u are u want a spyder or a stock ion not a epihany...its for novice players or u can say better than average.

epiphany is an ion, an upgraded ion and very affordable now. a more serious speedball gun would be the epiphany instead of the ion, it shoots beautifully out of the box. if you upgrade the ion its going to end up being an epiphany anyways and most likely wasted more money than you had to...

i believe the epi. a much better gun than the ion but in the end they're both the same but except for when they're stock but other than that they're both the same. you can turn the ion into an epi. by simply upgrading the firing chamber (different color inserts for better performance) but right out the box you get a head start with the epi. instead of starting from the begining with the ion but if you dont upgrade the firing chamber on the ion to an epi. firing chamber than the ion isnt as good.

The Epiphany has a nicer body, plus it comes with a fire bolt, on/off asa, and the epiphany stock trigger is much nicer than the ion stock. Is the ION Xe some special edition one or something?

Ion XE only has a cool body. and a bolt out back design. the eipiphany has a freak barrel. which is amazing. you probaly will never have a problem with the epiphany. thats my opinion . Hope it helps!

a viewloader vlocity jr. with gangstar chip will do just fine. i have one of those as well as 2 pulses which i love very much but they dont make those no more so a vlocity will do you good...
