  • Hi Kur0 ! So did you modded your Flying V finally? I would love to hear from you, I'm thinking about modding mine :-)

  • @ThomasMetal75. Yep. Original ceramic pickups. i know they might not be as mellow as some '57s (alnico). Still, I adjusted them as close to the pickguard as possible, and running through a JVM 2000(?), and this was what I got. I tore down the V and am rebuilding it after I sand it down to the mahogany nectar.

  • Are these the original pickups that the 67' reissue comes with?

  • Point taken. No mods on the electronics. Just like the switch shows, its in the middle position. I still think I hear some rumble there. Not as glassy as Id like. Now that im in the US Ill try better amps and then if still unhappy i can afford to swap pups. I single humbucker can run north of 400 back in JPN... I expect pricing to be mor reasonable here.

  • hey.... u should tell us what position ur in ( neck or bridge) then demonstrate..... otherwise whats the point? :0 ........ and everyone should check out my video too! ( and sorry, i almost forgot. nice feel and playing too..
