  • FUCK YOU SOPA YOU BAND MINECRAFT THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE

  • this guy is a great speaker, but it is true he looks like Tom Hanks without hair

  • If this happens someone is going to get pitied and kill a/all the American people who passed this, america is policing the world again

  • i wont pay 50 or more a month for the ability to get text emails only if this passes everyone should go back to using phones but also stop buying any internet access and stop buying media devices because the internet for most ppl is to learn and back things up and entertain and they will take it all away i urge everyone to stop this from happening every time they try!!! ironic they are using the medium of the internet to stop this attack of the internet lol

  • not the porn

  • sNOpa.

  • Stop SOPA now

  • Bold Tom Hanks makes very good arguments. I wonder what Wilson thinks?

  • This dude looks like Tom Hanks without hair!

  • Thanks Wrath. Reposted on FB

  • @SSF1992 yo...that's not funny...

  • fuck you sopa

  • MegaUpload is back up. You can only access it by an IP though. Also SOPA and PIPA are shelved.

  • @DynamicEvolved what is the ip?

  • Comment removed

  • i <3 the internet.

  • he reminds me of a bald Tom Hanks

  • Tom hanks without hair!

  • @sunnybynite91 its good to know im not the only one that thinks that

  • so pretty much im fighting for this fucking country so that it can just turn into china with all their retarded strict laws? get the fuck out of here

  • ...I think mankind is really really really close to the point where it just needs a complete and total restart..a base of knowledge perhaps but no states, no politics, no economics, no markets, no bureaucracy no more bullshit in which people are drowning themselves....just starting again....but with just a bit of knowledge from experience, so this doesn't happen all over again......well, i can at least dream...

  • It's funny how they're going after the internet, when it should be one of the last things on their mind with how messed up the US is already. They think this little idea will help but it will only piss a lot of people off. The internet is like another world for a lot of people in this day, and now that they screwed up on reality, they are going for everybody else to screw everybody over more.

  • TED is awesome!!!!

  • The US government has been, is, and always will be fucked. Sometimes I'm not so "proud to be an American". There should be a law where politicians being bribed so that they willingly or unwillingly change their opinion is illegal, they're the biggest scumbags I've ever seen. Greedy CUNTS. Ron paul for 2012.

  • Shared to my Facebook. I refuse to see an entire country be stupified because people are afraid they will lose money. It will stop everything the internet is good for and not hit the target to which they want.

  • Great vid bro

  • Is it me or does he look and talk like a bald Tom Hanks?

  • @strider8807 hahaha thats exactly what i thought XD

  • I like Ted. I don't like the US

  • sorry if i sound stupid but will this effect anyone outside of the united states

  • @soloman8596

those bills have effects on the global web, though i don't see how us has jurisdiction worldwide. look at how mega upload went today, they are hong kong based if i'm not mistaken and were taken offline by the us department of justice. the US were behind the raids on pirate bay so whatever they decide there has global ripples

  • @centurionx5 If a country is part of the UN we have the right to go into their country to arrest someone for breaking our laws. its stupid but they can

  • @centurionx5 thats bullshit

  • @soloman8596 Well if you want to watch/share content created by US citezens like from youtube channels based in the US , then yeah. They'll be blocked, and you won't be able to see their stuff. It could probably effect you even beyond that but I don't want to go into all of that in a comment.

Plus I have to study for a chem final X(

  • that last bit was very powerful

  • nohopeleft (dot)com atleast something good with gaming happened today.

  • People who support this or dont know much about this bill are just thinking that it's gonna stop piracy or some utter bs, that is only going to happen if the internet gets shut down. They dont realize that the internet as we see it today is going to be a very different place, controlled with censorship and so on. I'f this something like this gets passed, it makes me feel like i would not want to live on this planet anymore. Anyways, keep doing what you do untill sopa rapes us all.

  • I think these videos wont do much in the fight against SOPA, but it's good that more people are aware of this. Cause the major news networks dont give a crap about it, and yeah we know why this is the reason, guess who owns them...

  • sopa and pipa can eat my dick

  • Looks like you've got two subscribers Wrath that are either Democrats or are from the music/video/media industry. Thanks for posting this Wrath. It's a real shame that people think this is to stop piracy when in fact it affects every corner of the Internet, and it impinges on our rights as Americans.

  • If only Americans would get off their asses for the PATRIOT ACT and the NDAA too?

People only got out of their trance for this because it affects their fucking games.

    Society is broken.

  • is this video about stoping it???

  • this guy reminds me of tom hanks

  • there's no way this gets passed its just ludicrous

  • F(-CENSORED-) Censorship!

  • Ron Paul 2012!!!

  • If the media hates sharing why do they have youtube/facebook accounts and upload photos and videos onto social sharing based websites.

  • This is War >:l

  • Who do these people think they are?

    Policing OUR internet?

We're the ones paying them to use it, and we're the ones making it what it is.

People on the internet act accordingly to things we don't think should be on here. In the most recent case, someone that uploaded a video of them and 5 other people beating the shit out of one guy.

We found those people, and we turned them into the police.

We don't need the government telling us what we can and can't have on a service we pay to use.

  • @SeaShellNecklaceBrah More so, if SOPA does pass, how about we all just stop paying for cable, movies, and the internet all together?

That way we can send those corrupt companies into the ground.

  • i think there should be a law that says that government representatives should not be allowed to accept money from corporations. these son's of bitches are getting payed millions of dollars to strip our rights and that is ridiculous. it;s essentially a bribe. but i know such a law would never pass. i mean who would vote for something that deducts their pay?

  • Tom Hanks?

  • SOPA: Suppressing Other People's Amusement.

  • Thanks wrath! I was looking all over for an explanation.

  • ANOYmanous is gonna rage is this goes true

  • Copyright has gotten too far. Back a 100 years ago, copyright holders considered it an honor if somebody used their work, not to mention our Country, the USA, was founded from using a philosophers teachings and is the major foundation, word-for-word, of our very own declaration of independence.

  • Why the fuck don,t people take a stand? like are we all fucking sheep. it,s all the fucking TV thats brainwashing people into being drones.

  • I don't know how Wall Street isn't campaigning against these bills. If they pass, their heavyweight stock (Google/Youtube) will die. Which will tank the rest of the market.

  • anonymous, FTW

  • Comment removed

  • so they are saying that we can not share a video from youtube to facebook that is bs

  • it isn't going to happen in my opinion. congress wouldn't put themselves in jeopardy like that. when i say that i mean a declaration of war. not verbal war, not protests, i mean people trying to actually kill and fight the government. either they kill all the citizens in the US or change their fuckin stupid bill that's going to pass. don't even bother replying to this comment, just food for thought

  • A Bald Tom Hanks?

  • great video wrath really great of you to share with us so we now know what thes bills are instead of trying to read 50 pages of congress paper's

  • This is one of the best videos I have watched that actually explains what is going on with these bills and what they are trying to do. Thank you for linking this vid and hopefully with enough exposure these two ridiculous pieces of legislature will be shot down.

  • this guy is a very good public speaker.

  • 3:33 Not that funny...

  • i am not gonna be a couch potato again it sucks i just want to have fun with my friends and share my feelings on something.

it's the whole reason i post vid's on here showing that a game is fun (or not) and some stiff's in suit's will not take this away from me

  • If these bills pass, it would be like going back in time to pre-YT times or before other social media networking sites, such as only having CBS, NBC and ABC.

I think this is much bigger than piracy or even sharing, that these media companies are not only worried about illegal copying, but also people watching/consuming amateur hour more than the established networks and them losing their share of views/revenue. How do you take out the competition? make it illegal for them to do it!

  • "You shall not pass" a bit of copyrighted material for you right there; this bill cannot and will not pass in it's current form at-least it has too much of a major effect on large industries, it would hurt not only the consumer but also lots of big businesses that ultimately would have a major backlash type affect on government and the world economics. There are far more jobs created though the ability to share then jobs lost through it's damaging affects; in my opinion.

  • wrath why did you remove my comment? never thought u would be so bias :(

  • @dsm1891 I remove any link attempted in any of my comment sections, and i would have thought my uploading of this would be a good indicator of my bias.

  • @wrath111377 it was a 1990's rap("dont copy that floppy") about how can u hate that :)

  • This won't pass. No worries.

  • whats the DMCA?

  • if this passes its most likely going to end in mass suicide or protests

  • Love the EU no bullshit SOPA..... God bless america and the 1.000.000.000 rules... haha aight!!!!

  • Arrr i be a pirate, you land lilly yellow bellies betterr-rrrrrgh be likeing this here video, arrrrg shiver my timbers give it a like

  • Can i get a AMEN!!!

  • I see a bald Tom Hanks here.

  • Perfect find/share! I passed this onto my facebook and twitter because I think that too many people form a decision based on things they don't fully comprehend or misread.

  • I actually find it funny in how SOPA and PIPA are worded that, I as a Canadian citizen, would be under USA law because of how domain names are classified by region, not by nationality. Meaning my dot-com, even though its hosted in Canada, its registered to the registry in the USA (region 1) along with Mexico and 20 islands in the Carribian. This also means I would be trialed not by a Canadian court, but an american and my rights as a Canadian would be void.

  • He really hits home at the ludicrousness of the power they want. Why would we let them take us to hell in a handbasket. Fuck me..

  • Even if it does pass, the pirates won't stop, and it won't stop piracy.

It's like real life DRM; it only hurts the paying customers.

  • @LegendarySock I don't think you understand the tools that can be taken from you.

  • @wrath111377 Which tools are you talking about? Bypassing DNS is definitly possible, for one by typing in the ip address as stated in the video, and i doubt FTP servers are going to be stopped. Are we talking torrents hear or blocking searches by pulling the funding from the site? That will ofcourse stop alot of the general piracy, but with a little knowledge that is not a problem. I am honestly interested to hear what im missing. To be clear im speaking specifically about piracy.

  • @americandream112 I'm not speaking of piracy. I wouldn't come out and support the right to piracy. i think there is a real disconnect here. most people are under the impression this is simply a piracy issue, but point in fact its an issue that will effect every major site you visit, as those sites link you to content that might be copyrighted, not uploaded by those sites, but by users. I think magic lists of ips sounds a little optimistic and deosn nothing for regular users

  • @wrath111377 Ok i guess i misunderstood your reply to legendarySock. I want to make it clear that i totally agree. I just thought you said it would take away the tools of pirates, which i think is the last thing that will happen. Hence socks argument it wont have much impact of the so called public agenda "Piracy" but will have far reaching effects on everything else

  • @wrath111377

I know it's not a piracy issue but it was started as one. DMCA is definitely something that was meant to combat piracy and such. They're just branching out to any sort of copyrighted material now and making mundane things like making an animated gif out of images you didn't crate illegal.

  • @LegendarySock Just like guns...they can make them illegal all day long, but its not going to stop criminals from getting them.

  • @LegendarySock and people like us who love youtube to.Youtube, twitter, facebook ext could all be shut down or have their IP's changed

  • @LegendarySock you have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

  • this is pathetic. how can a bill like this ever even me thought about

  • @Logiteck625 be*

  • @Logiteck625 One word my friend, money, the vast majority of people for these bills are bought politicians.

  • i love ted!

  • thanks for uploading the vid wrath, I can now say I understand whats going on more clearly now. seeing I'm from the uk and it seems mad that a bill passed in the usa can/will effect my use of the internet. thanks again for post it.

  • Im really scared for the future of my country if bills like these are even considered.

  • @spenceriguess Welcome to the future then...

  • Bald Tom Hanks?

  • Just like the game developers not allowing mods of their games....they want true exclusivity in regards to their game content.

The Half-Life MOD that became Counter-Strike allowed the community to produce huge quantities of custom content (new maps, models and textures) and kept the game fresher longer, but you rarely see that sort of freedom now.

If these control freaks are given the power to prevent any levels of sharing or online creativity, it'll be a disaster on many levels...scary idea.

  • America is fucked up, we've got nothing like this in Sweden!

  • @Thesniped13 It doesn't really matter which country you're in. This bill will affect us in Sweden too. Why? Because its not about the country, its about copyrighted content. . Any copyrighted content and/or links to copyrighted content will allow the companies to take it down. It will censor the Swedish internet, the entire European internet, the internet around the whole world.

  • sharing is how we got here in the first place, sharing knowledge. If we never shared knowledge we wouldnt have the mindset to invent things we have today like laptops, the internet, or anything really, its just a bad idea in general

  • Does America Seriously think the world will sit there and watch while it takes away It's Internet?

  • @cbroo69 We've sat there and watched before.. NDAA.

  • The U.K. Back's YouTube and The US PPL DOWN WITH SOPA!!!

  • he looks like tom hanks

    (the guy in davinci code)

  • I would hope the comments revolved more around the content of the video, than proof that you have a rudimentary understanding of numbers.

  • @wrath111377 you have high expectations.

also have you seen the extracreditz video on sopa? i think thats worth reuploading aswell

  • @wrath111377 you know what I thought the same thing, it does seem that these people could be entertained by tinsel ¬_¬
