My reply: I own energy investments so as gas prices go up so do my investments. The economy has been crashing since Slick Willy became Prez in '92. Obama has his work cut out for him. It will take a Herculean effort to make up for 20 years of mistakes.
Gas will never reach $9 a gallon because alot of people can not afford that. It will almost stop alot of big truck drivers, if that ever happened riots would break out we would have lack of supplies... plus they are working out other means for standard fuel & fuel additives.

Obama wins the delegate count even if you count Florida. And, since he was not on the ballot in Michigan, can't fairly count Michigan. Michigan could always vote again if it wanted (as could Florida).

people keep saying Oh Hillary she wins over Obama in the swing states...but in the general election for president, Obama isn't going to be running against Hillary! No one, especially on CNN political panels, seems to have realized this. It doesn't matter how well she does in WV because she won't be in the general election!
The only way it could matter is if miffed Hillary voters desert the Democratic party and vote republican in some bizarre act of self-punishment.

It matters because its an argument for super delegates to cast their vote for Hillary, thereby winning the primary even if she the least popular.
Performance in swing states is the only way to predict who will be able to beat the Republican candidate; the other states will vote based on party, not on who the actual candidates are. example: If GA will vote for McCain no matter what, who cares if H would get 40% of the vote and B would get 45%? In the end, both get 0 electoral votes.

The numbers from yesterdays election were identical to polls taken by voters from WV 3 months ago. WV has more less uneducated, backward people. Hell, they voted for Bush over Gore and Kerry allowing Bush to win by 25 points! This is a astrong republican area and these rednecks willbe voting for McCain in November. There is a point there when 90-92% of black voters go for Obama. He's averaging about half the white vote through the whole election, so the problem is, why aren't black voters going toward Hillary the way white voters go to Obama- blacks loved the Clintons, until Obama came along...
