  • sweet childhood!

  • if i am happy and saaaad i just play this amazing concert and forgetttttt everythiiiiiiiiiiiiing Love it =)

  • Nice. But I think I played it a little better when I was 3 months old... just saying.

  • @Karengreen176 Do you have a videographic and/or audiographic recording is your possession you would be kind enough care to share with us, so we* can be the judge of such an outrageous assertion?

Otherwise, I will accept your future apology and give it a grade of C plus. Good day.

  • @keepcalmycarryon Yes I do, and I will not be demeaned by some uneducated plebeian who presumes to doubt my obvious musical genius. So please, before you try to litter this comment section with more of your filth, hang yourself before more pollutants find their way out of your mouth. Though, I would be curious as to the exact origin of your post. It seems more likely to have found it's way out of your ass.

  • @Karengreen176 Cheeky! And so the courtship begins. I shall commence coquettishly, with the requisite poesy:

"Run, little rabbit, run; but soon our two worlds will be one."

Your poetical repartee should be as such: pithy, yet prurient; mordant but imbued with melody. Original works only: artful interpolations will be accepted upon merit and on a case by case basis. And finally: apology noted, accepted, and previously graded. Good day.

  • @keepcalmycarryon "He screams, he cries, his best rebuttal quickly dies; he is then asked to take a seat, such is the fate of every adversary I meet."

  • @Karengreen176 Your overall argument is totally invalid. It's a total waste of time to discuss.

  • @tboone3100 What is my argument, exactly?

  • I'm touched! How could he perform this so perfectly!

  • @HeeYiYu Hours of practice.

  • i don't understand...how can i possibly put half of perlman's feeling into my music? sometimes i want to stop playing.

  • That third movement is fast...

  • magnificent!

  • @Shaktidance8 If one played with this feeling - at any age - it would be something to brag about, and we must not forget that at the time of this recording fine microphones and recording equipment were difficult to obtain for an artist. So it reflects how the violinist played in general, not just for one recording.

  • Y sigo sin tocarlo :(

  • @wakuwakuluigiviolin yeah, playing the notes is easy, but making music, THAT is hard...

Listen to Perlman playing it, omgomg *--*

  • i love this concerto, and its quite easy compared to others. :>

    alguien me explik

  • me and my friend are trying to learn how to pla this.....agh, so hard (-_-)

  • @kumo0hikaru I learnt this on violin and personally i think it is quite easy :)

  • @kumo0hikaru I learnt this on violin and personally i think it is quite easy :)

u need alot of practice as well.

    good luck!!

  • Mmh, I personally like this peice a little slower, but it stays wonderful :)

  • I played this piece when I was 15 minutes old

  • @OME10S LoL best cmt in youtube ever=))

  • @OME10S My wife and I have been together SINCE LAST CENTURY, so there.

  • Wow, who is this kid? He is pretty good! He's going to be a great violinist someday. :)

  • @AllegroConBrio67 Hahaha, you are too late ;D Maybe he's the child in the picture, I don't know... Itzhak Perlman was born in 1945 and yes, he already is a great violinist ;) He played the Mendelssohn concerto at only 13!

  • @AllegroConBrio67 LOL, you're kidding.

  • @katiekatlovesu If you don't know me, I guess I could sound kind of ignorant. lol Of course I am kidding. A few years ago when I got an autograph from him and took a picture with him after a concert in which he played a Mozart violin concerto and conducted a Tchaikovsky symphony in Utah, he certainly was not a kid. :)

  • @AllegroConBrio67 Haha, I know you're kidding. I actually like Mr. Perlman's way of playing a lol cuz he's always smiling when he plays violin. It's hard to smile when we play violin cuz it's too hard, haha. Too envious of him :P

  • @katiekatlovesu That smile put's a smile on my face!

  • @RBLVK Same here :)

  • @AllegroConBrio67

You really have a great sense of humour :-)

  • What a joy it is to hear such a fine recording of this piece. I'm accompanying this for a student recital, and now I'm disappointed with the piano reduction- it's missing all the cool imitations between soloist and strings.

  • I've had this PIECE for a week and I can play it almost as fast as supposed to. ( it's a piece not a song, a song has singing)

  • i'm learning this song on the violin, great song but i just started playing so its kinda hard

  • @RoOdKoP61 just a tip: learn to walk before you can run.

  • @JSMaresch yeah i know but i didn't choose the song :S my teacher did

  • I'mhappy because I'm goin to start memorizing this song! y have been played the violin moreless One year and 3 months, and i love this song (: i hope i would play it beautiful... I love music (:

  • i played this song in grade 2 it was quite hard then and i didnt fully understand the music, but now im a grade4, i just love playing it over and over again!! ^_^

  • listening to this makes me do this piece again, but now properly... i think i did it so crudely before haha

  • I played this song if 5th grade MEMORIZED

its a really beautiful song and i recommend everyone try learning it

  • @iDWfreak

cool, i played it 1st grade memorized at city hall.

  • i played this song. It was a good song.

car on l'a tous joué!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this. Love it!

  • bellissimo...

  • I love this piece not only to listen to but to play. I first learnt this when I was 14 and had only been playing for a year. I especially like to here some one as fantastic as Itzhak Perlman playing. Thanks for posting it.

  • FYI......this concerto was composed to be played in the first position. My ear tells me that Itzhak is staying true to form and playing it in 1st position.

........Now as to why we violinists 'brag' about when we played certain pieces, I guess it's to show how advanced we have become. I'll do a little bragging myself and tell how I learned the Sibelius Concerto in D minor when I was in Jr. High, age 12. Obviously I play it better now with many more years under my fingers!

  • i just can say GOOD!

  • Thank you for for uploading this!!!!

    ~Janice

  • amazing

  • wow

  • Uno de los mas grandes violinistas.

    MARAVILLOSO.

  • it's good to see a proper professional take this piece seriously, I mean, it wasn't written for children. I think the simplicity is good and works really well when done professionally not just by kids like me

  • Amazing player playing a stunning song. I think you can see the positive effects this piece has

  • funny to see that people actually think he was a kid when he recorded this :-)) he probably was an adult imao, the cover just goes with the title " concerto from my childhood ".

  • "Release Date: 1999-03-09 "

and btw Perlman = one of my favorite violonists :D

  • Anyone know how old he was when this was recorded?

  • I'm playing this song right now and this person's vibrado is killer compared to mine!! wish there wasn't just a picture.

  • @AnimeLover1215

    simple: look up itzhak perlman

  • RE BOENO

  • Perlman plays my piece :D

  • putting and removing comments is REALLY POSSIBLE on here..LOL...sooo where is my comment being put YESTERDAY ?!,,,eeeh :-(

  • Comment removed

  • noone can judge people only because of age!

Richter came to study piano to the Moscow in 27 years! before he was a nobody. And today we can say that it was one of the bests!

  • touching

  • videos like this make me feel so.... bad.....like im how many years old and im playing that and this guy's how many years old and he plays it better o.o

  • INCROYABLE !

  • not just this video, but ALL the violin videos, people seem to feel the need to brag about when they played a particular piece and how old they were...why? just curious!

  • lol yeah u're right.People need to think they are prodigious to feel confident maybe.

  • @Shaktidance8

cuz they're exited about the piece and they just probably feel nostalgic about when they played it. it's not bragging....

  • I clicked on this because I remember playing this when I was a kid. My teacher even told me to get this CD so I could hear it whenever I wanted.

It's not about bragging, I just think this brings back good memories.

  • @Shaktidance8 lol, it's like a feeling of accomplishment to brag about it, i dunno

  • @Shaktidance8 yeah exactly, it doesn't matter, which ages play, or is it children piece, its just cool :D

  • @Shaktidance8 hahaha true, well....to nót answer your question;

I'm 19 and I enjoy playing this piece everyday!

    And then to dó answer your question;

For some (unfair) reason people think they stand out in the crowd if they have played this piece as young as possible.

Even when it totally sucked in; tune, speed and feeling.

  • @Shaktidance8 Oh, it's just this thing called pride, and a lot of people have too much of it.

  • @wbasc Were you referring to Itzhak Perlman??

  • Comment removed

  • its incredible, perfect intonation, phrasing, excelent sound, vibrato, everything that a pro needs is there and he was very very young.

  • This is piece is so easy to play but it is so beautiful! I played it in my violin first year. I played that 3 years ago but I can't stop playing it!

  • i cant stop listening to this.... O_O

*stares unemotionally at screen for hours at a time.....

  • I just played the first movement of this for my Interlochen audition tape =]

I'm learning the rest for my next recital!

  • AMAZING!!! I am such a fan of Perlman! Can't believe he actually played that when he was little!

  • what a wonderful piece. i am playing it now and the third movement is extremelly hard! D:

  • Where can you get this CD?

  • 5:23 I played it last year!!!

  • I played it when I was 8 years old! I loved it,I play it even now, even though it's very very simple :P Thank you for posting it!
