  • YOUR THE MAN!

  • THANKS MAN HOLY SH%$ FINALLY I UNDERSTAND THIS !!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I WANT TO HUG YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\

  • When I used a ip calculator it shows /27 to be 8 subnets and 30 host not /24 , what gives?

  • nvm gotta ahead of the video

  • @c1team /24 is the original subnet mask. /27 is our new subnet mask. /24 = 255.255.255.0. /27 = 255.255.255.224

  • by using custom subnetting you can create more networks in smaller pieces (network = its like a group of ips)

  • Don't worry, just figured it out.

    Class C address-3 octets 3x8bits=24

    Class B address- 2 octets 2x8 bits=16

    Yeah?

  • @wurtzelgummage The slash /24, or /whatever, represents how many bits are being used for the network portion of the IP address. This is called slash notation.

  • "I'm sorry but what does the /24 have to do with it. Where did that come into the working out?"
