She got them afterwards though, when she trapped Cathy and inflicted her punishment, then starved them.

When I was reading the book, I was always wondering what was stopping them all ganging up on the grandmother. If the twins got the legs and Cathy & Chris got her face and arms, she'd go down. @annaesse Jeb Adams (Chris) was indeed that short. Louise was (and probably still is) almost six feet tall. There's a wide shot of the children's bedroom shown earlier in the film when Corrine takes off her blouse and Louise is visibly much taller than Jeb, and her heels weren't even high. And besides, the grandmother was six feet tall in the book too, and I'm glad they kept it in the film. Louise makes an incredible villain, such a rare screen presence few actresses possess she has.

By trying to make Christopher seem shorter than his grandmother, he ended up looking like a badly proportioned adult: wide shoulders, long body and what must have been legs chopped off at the kneed!

@annaesse Jeb Adams (Chris) was indeed that short. Louise was (and probably still is) almost six feet tall. There's a wide shot of the children's bedroom shown earlier in the film when Corrine takes off her blouse and Louise is visibly much taller than Jeb, and her heels weren't even high. And besides, the grandmother was six feet tall in the book too, and I'm glad they kept it in the film. Louise makes an incredible villain, such a rare screen presence few actresses possess she has.

Wow, I love the scene where 'Chris' calls out that 'Grandmother.' I was thinking the same thing before I saw that scene... that she had placed them in one room so she HAS to expect for them to see one another constantly... even in awkward situations like bathing etc. : )

I honestly cannot stand Cory and his "Fred". The Cory in the book was my absolute favourite character, but in the movies Carrie is so much cuter and more legit (and her hair is amazing). Cory's little... speech thing (He's wight hewe!) is just annoying.

Why not, while shouting at her, seeing how he scared her, he didn't shove her into the closet and took Cathy and the kids and ran the hell out of there?! Ugh!!! It makes me so frustrated!! At least in the book it gets justified: they were 12-13 when they were imprisoned, it's hard to run away when you are that young.
