  • This is one of my favorite John Denver songs and I love the way James Burton played guitar in it plus I liked the flute part too.

  • Oh, how I love this song. I remember watching his concert on PBS and hearing the story about meeting the woman in Alaska.

    There will never be another John. I hope when I get to heaven he is still singing this beautiful music.

  • John's mother Erma Deutschendorf passed away last Sunday January 17, 2010 at 7:00 pm in Aurora Colorado. Her funeral is tomorrow in Aurora, Colorado. I can see her and John's Dad dancing to this song. RIP Erma and John

    Before my dad passed away, he tried to find this song everywhere. Finally, he did on a DVD. I did not listen to it until months after he passed away. I know it was a message for my mom, one she will not understand until once again she is with him, and he sings it for her himself. I miss him, I know my mom does, what a merciful Savior that has the power to reunite us beyond the veil, and give us hope of forever. Thank you for the beautiful song.

  • Wonderful set but Rocky Mountain is only half there, at least that's what I get. Can anybody tell me where to find the set where he sings Rocky Mountain High and Calypso in that order. I think, are the best versions of the songs I've heard.

  • Many years ago my older brothers laughed at me for loving John's music-to each his own I guess!

    John was one of those artist that actually sounded better in person (if you can believe he could be any better than this!) and it was one of the greatest moments of my life to have that opportunity before his untimely death.

    I agree. I saw John in the 80's and it was an amazing concert. I love his music! What a tragic loss for all of us that he's not here anymore. We miss you John.
