  • aw

  • I like Nancy's version and also the one that Joan Baez made. Meh, I like all =)

  • I still like Cash's version best. But that's great too

  • In my oppinion the best female interpretation of this song is by Joan Baez. Nancy Sinatra's version is still good, but I like other stuff she sung better

  • Written By Johnny Cash

  • @monkeykrank Johnny Cash sang it as well but it was written by Bob Dylan

  • Before my time, but she was very very good..

  • I just love that picture of Nancy at the very beginning of the video.... she looks so damn sexy in that picture...

  • hmmm the rest of the song?

  • this is my theme song dude

  • She was so damn sexy

  • I love nancy's voice, but i don't think that this interpretation of Dylan's great song fits her really well...

Her voice is made for 'bang bang' or 'summer wine' and stuff like that.

  • Nancy made this cover for her album "Boots'', great by Nancy!!!

  • A great Dylan song being sung very well by a pretty girl. What could be better?

  • she sucks!!! let's admit it, her dad was powerful, got her a contract, TV spots, big hairdo...

  • @davyj78 -- ok lone ranger you admit it. Give a good suck while you're at it.

The rest of us love her.

  • @davyj78

I don't think she sucks, but yes, her dad helped her.

  • Nancy Sinatra could outsing anyone except Bob Dylan who wrote "It Ain't Me Babe"...Dan O'Niallain

  • This is a wonderful pose. I am so glad archivists are collecting her works on here. She is a historic and profound woman in the Music Industry.

  • The funny thing about Nancy Sinatra is that if a Relative receive a Blueberry, Cherry or Apple Pie and you get caught telling her sister, Tina Sinatra, that her Pies are better than hers. Guess what? You'll never get another Pie from Nancy accept right across the face...Dan O'Niallain

  • lol this is such a 60's sounding song i love it.

  • A lot of people think Nancy Sinatra is 60's Pop but I also recognize her fascination with Folk, in this Bob Dylan Classic and especially with Lee Hazelwood...Dan O'Niallain

  • Ya know, took me years to appreciate Ms. Sinatra. She was fun, smart and just plain talented in her own right! I think it took me so long cause I was a little girl then.

  • Nancy-You covered Bob Dylan! Let's all take a huge swig of booze!!! Dan O'Niallain

  • i think she's wearing a wig

  • Incredible. So many ways to interpret a template.

  • She had a great voice! Too bad most of the arrangements weren't as timely as the song lyrics themselves. She could have been a great rock singer had she not been held back by the C.O.B.! She was always under "his" thumb. Not saying that her songs aren't good, but they sometimes sounded like they needed to be let out of that cage. Nancy forever!

  • @cbxsage You nailed the problem right there, she was under "his" care. Just like Tina,Frank jr,they carried the Sinatra name, and nobody could live up to Frank.Sinatra, simple as that.

  • shes no bob dylan

  • LOVE this version with all my heart!

  • @CathyCoconut

me too ... had no idea it existed !

  • Did either of you guys think that maybe Nancy might just happen to read some of these comments? Cut the crap okay?

  • Ooh, she's good. :D I like the beat of this song very much. ^^

  • YAGB

  • SHUT UP ALL!!! and stop saying that somebody else version is better! if you think that somebodys version is better keep it to yourself!

  • @elenica55 This. And let's not feed the trolls

  • @elenica55 Bob Dylan's version is better

  • I'm sure this version made Dylan vomit.

  • @kukaipaa Nancy Siantra offered Bob Dylan fifty bucks and a blowjob if he would allow her to butcher this beautiful song.(Dylan accepted).

  • @yourdickis2limp Do fuck off! Whiny pissant.

  • @SuperWolsey Why dont you go jerk off with some sandpaper you worthless dicklicker?

  • @yourdickis2limp Not much of a comeback, is it?

  • @SuperWolsey you watch 70 year old Nancy Sinatra while you fantsize and masterbate. This should be reason to cut your balls off fucknuts.

  • @yourdickis2limp Another weak comeback If you don't like this vid or Nancy Sinatra, fine. No need troll about like a pathetic waste of sperm.

  • @SuperWolsey Nancy Sinatra has sucked ten tons of dick in her 70 years.I doubt if you or your boyfriend Todd will ever approach her record.

  • @yourdickis2limp like seriously, they say they are virgin and they never sucked a dick?Yes of course she wasnt virgin and she did everything she loved too, thats her life, she loved it,shes famous, even if she did, whats your problem, mind your business,a girl whos not virgin she can suck and lick,Its her job,see your own family take care of them and get a fuckin life, you dickhead.I love her.dont get into someone's life.

  • Nice version, but it's too upbeat and optimistic, despite the fact that it's a break-up song. Dylan's version is much more suitable and poignant, IMO. Just sayin'.....

  • Comment removed

  • She has a very nice voice.. But Johnny Cash version is better...

  • This completely blows my tits off that Nancy Sinatra did a Bob Dylan cover...so well. There's more and more archival material coming out of Iron Mountain in Pennsylvanis from 60's Pop/Rock stars like this video Sometimes I think Nancy Sinatra has a better voice than Dylan...Dan Nealon

  • This completely blows my tits off that Nancy Sinatra did a Bob Dylan cover...so well. There's more and more archival material coming out of Iron Mountain in Pennsylvanis from 60's Pop/Rock stars like this video...Dan Nealon

  • this is the best cover of this song i have heard...no offence, but i like it more than the original.....i like the joan baez bbc performance too

  • new found glory does an awesome cover of this song, haha.

  • I have always loved her voice since I was a kid

  • Again like Charlotte Gainsbourg it takes a singer like Nancy Sinatra to turn a good set of lyrics & tune into a greeat song. Sorry but Bob Dyan's voice just was never up to it and this performance just too dry & one dimentional.Granted in his day he could pen a song or two.

  • this was in the movie "blow" where he talks to the judge in court "it aint me babe, im not the one you want"

  • I believe Johnny Cash and June Carter turned this song into a duet, and a hit. They dedicated it to the writer, Bob Dylan, on the Johnny Cash Show.

  • Uggghhh!!! Only Nancy Sinatra would turn a Dylan song into a cheesy Vegas number. Thank goodness for the Turtles' version.

  • Nancy gets brownie points for trying, as do Billy Strange and Lee Hazelwood.

  • ...this is awkward sung by a girl. it doesn't work. MEN are not looking for someone to protect and defend them. A woman, okay, but it doesn't really work with a woman singer.

  • @SacrificeOfLove1 perhaps you are right that this song's content doesn't fit a woman singing it, I suspect that your reasoning is based on the traditional roles men and women have played. But I could argue that today there may be some men who find it normal to be demanding and looking for such an ideal but unlikely soul mate, and then, this song would make sense for the woman to sign to such a man. Men of today may be looking for a strong woman, because today women are encouraged to be strong.

  • I guess it aint me babe..

  • i loveeeeeeeeee this song

  • I love this song, great !!!

  • i like this one just as much as Cash. think its the song lol

  • Well, at times her voice might have been lousy like her father's one seemed somewhat mousy on occassions, of course.

Anyway You only life twice combined with her appearance always guarantees making your flesh creep.

  • .. She's good... but apparently her heart wasn't into doing this song... maybe they needed a quick noise to finish filling an album's tracks...

  • Franks said Nancy's voice was lousy so her name alone wouldn't get her work! she had to work for it!

    or he's a fucking prick!

  • I like Nancy Sinatra, but not her version of this song.

  • dont understand why her dad ever said that her voice was lousy.

  • @XxSternchenxX8

    really, he said that?

  • yeah my dad used to tell me bout it. Apparently he was asked what he thought of his daughters voice(at a time when she was already goin places as a solo artist!) and he said *lousy*. n i dont think she was pleased to hear that lol:)

  • @XxSternchenxX8 --because her dad was an a--hole and an egotist.

  • @durgaaa lol.it might be that yeah :)

  • @XxSternchenxX8 - Cause her dad was a great singer but an asshole.

  • @dadoody lol that´s what my dad used to say bout him too..maybe ur right :)

  • @XxSternchenxX8 Her father was right!

  • dont u like her voice!?

  • @XxSternchenxX8 I'm sorry I don't think her voice is any special. Voice that would make me think, OH MY! :)

  • @XxSternchenxX8 It's a good dad's way to encourage his children to be better.

  • @stevaq i´m not sure tellin ur girl she can´t sing is a good way to encourage her..

  • @XxSternchenxX8 He divorced Mia Farrow for making Rosemary's Baby too.

  • @XxSternchenxX8

its hard to step up to perfection

  • @XxSternchenxX8 did he ever? The two have done some duet work.

  • @splintercell275 im pretty sure he did..

  • @XxSternchenxX8

When she first released "These Boots Are Made For Walking", it was kind of a catchy song that you either liked or you didn't, but it didn't really showcase her voice talent. Some, who didn't like the song, made the erroneous assumption that Nancy Sinatra just couldn't sing.

  • @XxSternchenxX8 -- when did her daddy say that? To whom? Who else heard that?

  • @Liozeris actually i don´t know but i think frank sinatra was asked by a reporter what he thought of his daughter´s voice and he just said 'lousy' :)

  • @Liozeris I doubt he sad it. He sang songs with her, after all -- "Something Stupid" and "You Make Me Feel So Young".

  • @XxSternchenxX8 has he really said that?

  • prefer the johnny cash...

  • @oetzi0000 you can say that again!but this is pretty decent.

  • she is good

  • very goog

  • not better than bob dylan

  • Bought this album when it came out and loved it. The arrangements on some of the songs she covered were amazing. It's a great album. Thanks for posting this tune!!

  • shes really beautiful and so is her voice

  • Nancy Sinatra is the most beautiful woman in the world

  • i like this better by Dylan, but some of her songs are awesome

  • dylan didn't care over the years he has put a new spin on his ols songs

  • this is good but the man in black mastered it

  • agree

  • Amen to that!

  • @FELIX100isonline I agree totally!

  • @FELIX100isonline Johnny Cash? Dylan did a much better job.

  • @FELIX100isonline Bob Dylan mastered it on "Rolling Thunder" in 1975 and once before when he WROTE it.

The video is on tube, but I cant post the link. Find it!

  • @FELIX100isonline Bob Dylan mastered it ffs. Cash and June done a good cover though

  • @FELIX100isonline I think it was mastered when it was penned by Dylan.

  • She's so sexy and she had a lot of courage to sing a Dylan song back then. Who's singing it now much less then.

  • Thank you very much. I miss those days very much.

  • i love her version

  • Good song, sung by a bloody talented singer!!

  • One of the best versions! the rythm is good.

  • i think it is better than the dylan version

  • Love This Song!!!!!
