I just realized who Zhang Chao's form looks like. Does anyone know if he's supposed to be a Schlager clone?

The more I watch it, the more I think he might even be a Kreanga clone. I only said Schlager because he plays closer to the table. Point being, he's clearly been trained to imitate a backhand dominant European looping style.

@BicolBandit He was not trained to imitate, he was chosen to the national team for that style, if you realize the difference^_^ He is the best athelete (not the best player) in the team, which I always believe will do more good then the general public think it will.

yes, Zhang Chao is a copy of Ma Long, he plays little different, but his forehand is very similar with Ma Longs Forehand. Only their backhand is not really similar.

@GBtabletennis His forehand looks NOTHING like Ma Long's. He generally employs a more vertical motion. bends his arm more and also points his wrist upwards rather than outwards. He is not a copy of Ma Long at all (in fact, he is older than Ma Long). He is a Euro clone. Nothing like Ma Long at all. Not similar in any way.

no it wasn't ma long or zhang jike, it was Zhang Chao, he was only a mediocre player a while back, but the removal of speed glue allowed him to rocket up in the ranks in the Chinese league, so thats why he isn't really well known
