  • She is amazing, what she does is something beyond common sence nowdays.. I wish her all the best with the reaserch, Ive never seen anyone so determined and passionate about what they do. I just dont get it why ppl are trying to domesticate wild animals? How about you move to live in the wild yourselfs huh? A, you know you wouldn survive a few days in the different environment, so why dont you think of animals then? That is what they are going trough being kept in captivity..

  • the end is really disturbing :(((

  • @Ludscher the trouble is that it's almost impossible hard to breed slow lorises even in the very best circumstances. And, they don't do well in captivity: frequently die, are malnourished, suffer because they are nocturnal and owners are not. They are venomous - even with their teeth removed. Did you actually watch this film? And they stink badly. Bunnys??! Are you serious? They are none of these things and breed, well, like rabbits. Slow lorises will die out with your suggestion, and quickly.

  • why don't they start breeding them in their center? why release all to get them caught again? where is the problem to grow them in europe to sell them as pets. black market in indonesia will sell less and they will start catching less. I don't know why it should be crime to have a lori as pet instead of a bunny, when it will be secured they are not endangered anymore. ppl in europe would pay min. 200 euro for one - so you there would be enough money to save the species.

  • 51:37 - 52:58

She's amazing @ what she does, I wouldn't know how to react to just seeing all those animals.

  • this video needs to be a prerequisite to watch before watching "Slow loris gets tickled" and before watching "Slow loris with a tiny umbrella."

  • @talieluv Which is why we need to encourage the governments to provide alternative sources of income. There are projects in India, for example, which include local people in the conservation of tigers, bringing them income and the same with gorillas in Africa. However the slow loris is not so widely known and loved as these two animals. We can help by spreading the word, by sending letters to the governments. You can help by writing such a letter on the n o c t u r a m a. org website.

  • @AlexTubed Captive breeding? a) they very very rarely breed in captivity, even in the best of circumstances; b) they often die in captivity, also in the best circumstances. And they cannot be re introduced into the wild as they nearly always die if this is done. And, they are not in any way pet material: not being domesticated; having highly venomous teeth, being nocturnal, smelling strongly, having a highly specialized diet. Did you watch the documentary?

  • as soon as the virus that is mankind is eradicated the better...

  • To be honest, I am all for saving wild species. But with such and animal they really should also encourage captive breeding for the pet trade as well as nature. It will keep the animal around for future generations much more so that wild species. In fact several common pets are extinct in the wild.

  • i dont agree with the sale of them but i understand the struggle these people are going through to survive, their meals for their families depend on this.

  • Awwwh I want one NOT that is so F ing sad!

  • I didnt even know they are poisonous!

  • 5:38 She can swab my secretions anytime

  • You wanna stop the illegal animal trade. OUTLAW MONEY!!!

  • Finally a loris video that does some good :)

  • @lorislover86 oh god of course :,(

  • humans are fucking animals...

  • @officialvangcreative Captain Obvious strikes again!

  • Why do people on here put their human emotions into a non-human entity? It's an animal...I doubt it has a concept of love! It has insticts!!! Jeez. People loving animals more than humans?? WTF?? That's an issue...

  • @2davivadiva I really don't think that Anna Nekaris mentions love at any point during the program. The only time that any emotions are shown is in the market place and this highlighted how horrific those conditions are. As humans we rely on the natural world for everything and if we lose animals such as the loris and other species we could be impeding our future survival. I find the human race greedy and self-serving and the animal kingdom is at the mercy of this.

  • @PrimateEarth

Actually I was referring to the comments that stated things like I'd pick animals over humans, humans are sick, fuck humans, etc. But thank you for your insight and eloquent response.

  • I guess the girl lives in a dream world.

  • @Nzime69 I believe that we all live in a dream world, if we carry on with the rate of destruction that is currently going on, there will be nothing left... The human race is very naive to believe that the world's resources are endless. The primate pet trade is a serious and very disturbing issue which needs to be stopped as well and the only way this is possible is to show people what is really going on

  • Everytime I watch animal cruelty, I can't help getting emotional.

I love animals lot more than many humans on earth.

  • why didn't she buy them!!!!!

  • @alicedee100 Sadly this would contribute to the problem, they would just be replaced with new lorises taken from the wild :( a very difficult situation

  • i would take all the money out my bank and buy them all seriously i love animals too much

  • omg the loris at 51.40 :,(

  • they are so fucking stupid

  • all those fucking asians need to be shot

  • i dont get why people dont just stick to cats, dogs, and fish, you dont need slow lorris, african lions(from movie elephant in the living room), sloths, cougars, jaguars, ect. JUST LET THEM BE!!

  • HOW COULD THAT PERSON HAVE THE HEART TO DISLIKE!

  • 1 FUCKING DISLIKE! RAGE! I WILL HATE THAT PERSON FOREVER!

  • this video deserves more views. . .

  • I saw the original "slow loris tickle" video a couple years ago and thought it would be great to have one as a pet. Little did I know about the illegal trade and their endangerment. Thankfully there are videos like this to set things right.

  • I hope this upload will be subtitled in all the languages of countries involving this matter.

  • Last 10mins is really emotional and awful. God help em

  • save the slow loris

  • This needs to be on TV. For those of you out there who run across people who think exotic and wild animals are cute-and how much they’d like to own one-why not challenge them to take the time to donate and responsibly ask to ‘adopt’ some of the expenses for an animal of their choice at a rescue and rehab facility? If they’re not willing to take the time and fork over the money to help save an animal they seem to like SO much, maybe they should rethink the ownership process for any animal.

  • @HabuArt This film was shown here in the UK and I think might still be available on BBC iPlayer. It would be great if it ended up on TV Worldwide, but atleast its available here on YouTube :)

  • Please join our slow loris cause on Facebook at the Little Fireface Project or follow Anna Nekaris on Twitter @queenfireface or donate to the Oxford Brookes Slow Loris Fund to help with all the research you see in this video - please like it and spread it and join the tide to wipe out the sad and illegal pet videos!

  • I'll never truly comprehend just how anyone could do this and not feel bad about it.

  • @tothequasar Humans... we are a dangerous species.

  • @Twizzlleerr the good news is that this video has only been up a few weeks... and the numbers are rising. I only hope people take the time to watch the whole thing.

  • Absolutely tragic. How many millions of views does the tickling slow loris video have? And this only has 2k. So disappointing.

  • omg this is so sad,we have no morals anymore, we are the worse kind of this planet. Something really bad has to happen to the human race.

  • @DarkAngel1545 why not contact the people at n o c t u r a m a dot org? (linked to in the description to this video) I'm sure they'll be happy to give suggestions. And you can join the little fire face group on Facebook and ask there. So great you are going to help these wonderful animals.

  • I am going to school to become a vet tech so I can move to indonesia to save them or maybe start a conservation of my own..the only thing is I dont know how to get started once I do get my degree :/

  • This was a really interesting documentary. Great, I learned so much in just 1 hour. I learned more in 1 hour than a whole week of school. Wow. Good documentary... more people must watch. Thank you.

  • International Animal Rescue runs the slow loris rescue centre featured in the programme. To learn more about what can be done to save the slow loris or to sponsor Cepat whose rescue is shown on the programme, please visit our website.

  • can't help but crying from 50:00 - 52.... what the fuck is wrong with ppl? Why treating animal like that ?

  • @TrangKaze It's fucking disgusting.

  • @TrangKaze

Because they are selling goods for the money, pure capitalism thing. It's really hypocrite to cry about it and you know that all it's about the money. Probably if they are wealthy, they will not sell animals or hunt them or put them in cages, they would drink cocktails by the pool like rich American and European people like to do.

  • Wow! So sad that we are such a selfish race! Poor animals belong in the wild- so so sad that they are vanishing-

  • @sp525f

well don't call everyone selfish, some people who get it don't truly know, good grief. That's why videos like this is made to have people understand.
