Oh, wow, i really needed this! I have a friend that i've been talking to for the last 2 years but he has a girlfriend, i almost told him, in fact, i ignored him for a few months because i felt so bad doing that to his girlfriend. we speak now though, i prefer not to tell him and if its meant to be it will be
I agree with your advice. In all the decisions we make we need to be aware of who they will affect. If you say you are a Christian and the believe that God's will be done in your life then you must step back and leave room for his will to be done in your life. If you are meant to be with someone, as long as you are taking it chill and not hindering or going against God's will, you will be with them. Telling them at this point may lead to several problems including loss of a good friend.
Great advice! I think she should not say anything. She should probably also spend some time away from him, like distancing herself from him. It's hard to like someone and always be around them. Putting some distance would help avoid any temptation from any of the people involved. Then she can wait out his relationship if that's what she really wants to do, or find someone else who's single.
@prettikitti totally agree with your point about creating some distance between the two of them, its worse when you like someone and you are always around them knowing you cant have them. Very good point
She needs to practice the fruit of self control. It would not be right for her to tell her friend she has feeling for him knowing he has a girlfriend. I think she needs to access her own feeling as to why she feels the way she does. If she would take her sights off of him then, maybe she would see another guy who is meant for her. Sometimes folks like to get too comfortable when it comes to having friends of the opposite sex and start doing things they ought not do.
