Truth does not contradict. Building on that, most religions are full of opposing values and beliefs. Therefore, some or nearly all have to be wrong in order for an absolute truth to be found in another(logically). Christian prophecy has been fulfilled and is historically provable in many cases.
christian claims are anything but "provable". the bible taken literally contradicts reality at every turn, and even if not taken literally, the basic claims like the existence of that god and jesus's special bond with it are impossible to prove. to respond to the claim that "christian prophecy has been fulfilled" (which im not sure what that is) i would say that christians have been wrong about tons of things, so i dont see how that proves them infallible

Ok, the main problem is this- you don't believe God exists, but He does. If God exists He would be allow to defy the observable proclaimed "laws" of reality that science says cannot be altered. He would be able to do this because He created and sustains them.

There is a fixed bias amongst people who uphold scientific claims as infallible proof because their belief system is built around Darwinian evolution(refutable). The main thing here is it's much harder to prove God's inexistence than existence.

Ill say for the record, i am not opposed to devotion to ideals or humanism, by which i mean the philosophical aspect of religion. I think religion has been and still is a very valuable and useful way for people to communicate and understand very abstract ideas. i think where i oppose is when one group claims superior truth, therefore cutting this communication.

Only last week, I head a testimony from a little boy 8 years of age who used to be blind and can now see again all happening in 2 days!

Now i am not going to claim that because that is not always the case, but its not true for me either. There is just noo reason to believe in this. Do we really believe that Yahweh created the universe in 6 literal days? It could have, however we see that the sun wasn't created until the 3rd day...so what was a day? Yes there were dinosaurs and there is evidence of them in the Bible. We should consider that their are in fact other gods, God tells us this throughout the scriptures. In Job it tells us that the earth is suspended in space and nowhere does it say that the sun revolves around the earth.

@Ibprius philosophical truth is not the same concept as scientific, physical truth. philosophy is an abstract concept while science is concrete. he two can coexist, but in separate realms. one cannot claim that there is scientific proof for the accounts of the bible, because there isnt, its just not that kind of true. And to say that jesus is god while muhammed isnt and that that is the absolute truth is also absurd. its a mix up of science and philosophy

Do we really believe that Yahweh created the universe in 6 literal days? It could have, however we see that the sun wasn't created until the 3rd day...so what was a day? Yes there were dinosaurs and there is evidence of them in the Bible. We should consider that their are in fact other gods, God tells us this throughout the scriptures. In Job it tells us that the earth is suspended in space and nowhere does it say that the sun revolves around the earth.
