this real EBM !! this song one of the Best!!!! my favourite Front Line Assembly albums are: 1- Caustic Grip 2- Corrosion 3- Gashed Senses And Crossfire 4- Tactical Neural Implant 5- Disorder EP 6- Convergence 7- State of Mind 8- The Initial Command 9- Total Terror I and II
Dude the guitars in FLA are not very dominant at all. I like them a lot actually. I like the EBM sound too though. Whatever they do they kick ass. The band I don't like is KMFDM they over do it for me. I actually like new Ministry more. Their less cheesy and a little more serious. KMFDM to me is kind of bad industrial with guitars. Only think FLA ever did wrong was release a few Delerium songs and call it FLA. Damn Leeb for doing that.
So the argument continues of electronic music versus metal and which is better. Why not combined the darkest elements of both? Like the band t3chn0ph0b1a for instance, which do a pretty good job of it. There are lots of other good bands out there too. Music with out synths and textural sounds is boring and sobering, I don't care how heavy it is, but guitar solo's are fucking awesome. People need to be more open minded, it's all about the journey the song takes you on. I like the Milleinium Cd.
@industrialnyleon That's an excellent CD as well and the first one I ever owned. It's a tuff choice to say what my favorite Album is. I even like their ambient and old stuff when Bill Leeb used to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Definitely not dissing FLA is one my favorites of all time and I can only dream of someday being as tallented and successful they are. I just wish they hadn't dissed my other fav band Velvet Acid Christ. After all if the music wasn't somewhat cheesy, I wouldn't like it
@industrialforever so true, but in my personal taste I prefer more of a [cling clang ping pang CLANK] Industrial sound, nobody does it anymore [or i haven't heard any] It's my duty to start a band that uses analog synth, rock guitar & mechanical industrial percussion :)

@industrialforever fucken a. I'm a metalhead, but ocassionaly listen to FLA and Skinny Puppy. One genre is not better than the other. They are what they are, and both have good qualities goin' for them. There is no specific way to create music or a certain way music "should" sound like. I'm tired of all these metal vs punk, or metal vs rap, or metal vs whatever the fuck debates. Its all music so just enjoy it for what it is :-)
@LaSantaMuerte Yeah I agree, as long as it sounds cool who cares about genres. Anyway you should check out my page. I write electronic music with metal vocals, you might like it.
music is music, front line assembely just happens to be good music, if they use guitars and it sounds good i dont see why they cant! I personally think it makes them more telented because it adds another element to the music
I can't believe people are still debating whether or not guitars destroyed industrial, that's a 15 year old conversation. Though I admit I hated Millenium when it first came out, it's all about what ever fits the energy.
It is pretty stupid, there are some really fitting types of guitars in Industrial songs, but theres a whole load of difference between FLA's Millennium and say Nine Inch Nails "Pretty Hate Machine or Downward Spiral"
The difference is - FLA makes Guitars for Electronic Songs, and Nine Inch Nails makes Electronics for Guitar Rock Songs
Never! Guitars have no place in electro! Ever! FLA used to be a good band. Now they pretty much suck. "posing".. WTF is that anyway. Who the hell is Jeremy?? Why are you even talking to me? Metal Sucks! Go listen to ripping geetar solo buddy....
Its EBM not Industrial, you can hear it on the beat btw.
EBM - Danceable.
Industrial - wicked unusual beat + more (if its electro-industrial, its acvtually jsut as it means, electronic-industrial, you know what that can be because normally Industrial uses alot off experimentally homemade instruments, etc.)
I miss the vintage sound.
