  • Hails thanks great song.

  • Howdy.

    Great lesson.

    Rob "Lefty" Letvinchuck

  • good job

  • Tom Selleck and and Sam Elliot would shake your hand because of that stash *high five*

  • Thanks! a friend asked me to find simple chords for this song so he can make his first appearance at an open mic!! this is an awesome vid and I will pass it on to him - thanks for taking the time and sharing

  • I like how he sings with it every once in a while

  • Thanks for the lesson everyone else I've tried to learn off of just couldn't teach me how to play things but with your lesson something clicked in my head great lesson thanks I subbed

  • Howdy, partner!

  • You're a really good guitarist and you have a really good voice for southern rock. You could probably make good money being a musician. You should keep doing what you're doing.

  • i just found the best place inline to learn the things i want to learn about guitar playing. normally i play bass, but for as good as this is i play guitar. thanks bro.

  • thank you friend

  • Great! This is my favorite version for this song. Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you Mojo, I am trying to learn to play guitar. You cut down on some of the frustration.

  • damn! you're very good at playing and a very good singer too! i enjoy those videos keep making them!

  • THANKS MOJO

    U DA MAN ! ! !

  • could you do bartender by rehab? i appreciate all you do. thank you in advance

  • thanks , that is one of the easier version on how to play the chord, thanks for the lesson

  • You're a great man to take the time to teach the masses, thx for the lesson! Not how I play it but who's to say you're wrong.. Just curios what kind of guitar that is? I'm really diggin the paint! anyway thx again for the teachings and have a fantastic evening

  • your a tank

  • @H0oTH0oT Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

  • nice man im so happy cuse i learned tht bymyself but i wasnt 100% sure but i was C AM G haHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH I NEW IT SOOO HAPPY THX

  • Your good! I have been trying to learn dust in the wind that one's hard!

  • great song one of my fav skynard songs i will def jam to this one night when im at the beach with some friends

  • he plays each string not as a chord but in a pattern......listen to the song. you will hear it

  • wow, you make my day by your responses to some of these mean comments you get :) thanks bud! you have one serious talent & right now i'm trying to learn Simple Man on acoustic...thanks for the teachin! :D

  • Great job.....Not everyone is going to be clapton...thanks for the lesson

  • Love your stuff, Mojo. You are one of the best "go to" guys on the net for practical lessons. I must say, however, that simple man sounds better if the progression is C, G, then Am. Finger picking it sounds great, too!

  • i guess this is a weird thing to say, but i am fascinated with the way your fingers move!

and you have an accent. what kind?

  • nice video man,the strumming patern is what i was looking for for this tune

  • Not bad but I think you will confuse people when saying it starts in Am. First chord they play is c with a walk up open, 2 and 3 on the a string to get you to that C chord

  • Good playing and good voice, keep it up.

  • Thanks for the lesson. When strumming, do you use the nail on your index finger instead of a pick?

  • You pick it at the start not strum it

  • thanks!

  • great lesson!

I"m having difficult with the transition from G to Am. What is the strum pattern that ties verse one into two; G-Am-Am...?

    appreciate the help

  • beautiful lesson.

    thank you

  • great lessonn, good job...

  • Hi Mojo,

Maybe I am being stupid, but can you explain the finger picking you do when you return to A minor after playing G? It seems you don't pick the A string but do some picking on the three lowser strings I can't seem to figure out.

    Peace

  • Hey your good being that you can pick useing your finger tips. I'm not too big on useing chords so i only stick to grunge and play power chords. I had this friend that pasted away that played this song on the guitar and he was really good at it. R.I.P Chad

  • Mr Mojo

Like your videos. Wondered if u could provide any tips on playing w/o guitar pic. do u use a light guage of strings? How do u keep ur nails from bein filed away since u use for strummin? Pics just dont work for me. Thanks

  • like the finger picking!!!!!

  • you have got to be canadien brother------ unmisstakable am i corrector just drunky?---- you decide

  • Sorry, incorrect :)

  • @ThreeChordGuitar Louisiana right

  • @donkeykongslacker Minnesota maybe

  • @Wopadas We do not all have canadian cowboy accents lol just most of us minnesotants :D

  • Love the hat!!!!

  • I love it! You make it so so easy! Thank you! I was wondering if you have ever done Garth Brooks to make you feel my love? I want to play and sing that at my mom and dads anniversary party! I would appreciate your help on this, if it can be done that easy...but your pretty genius, so ...... Thank you for helping me learn to play!

  • good video man, i love the guitar too. modern warfare 2 baby, bustin these newbs done all day and night

  • nice video, thanks a lot!

But the chrods for the verse from dust in the wind are:

    C | G | a min | a min | G | d min | a min | a min

  • Did you improvise for the finger picking?

  • I was wondering the same thing as suspower, what is the picking pattern you do on the Am chord? Thanks, great video!!!

  • i tried to figure this out too. i know in some versions on the Am u put your pinky on the 3rd fret 1st string (watch?v=cS6aAdDLDfI at 5.30). so the second time perhaps he plays that note instead of the bass note?

  • nice dude

  • Perfect!

  • wow just wow thank you

  • awesome tele!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great vid!!! i was just wondering what the picking pattern was for that little extra part that you throw into the Am chord when your picking ?

  • that guitar and voice could take you somewhere. nice vid

  • Nice tele you got there man :) x

  • hello cowboy!!

  • Thank you soo much, i always learn something new from you and i progress all the time with your help

    Thank you very much!

  • Great job i am sew and i learned knocking on heavens door, dust in the wind, and bad moon rising, but i realy realy like this song a am very glad to be able to play it keep up the good work

  • Is that "stash" real?

  • Sure is... why would I bother with a fake one???

  • @ThreeChordGuitar your are the best on lesson on youtube thanks

  • haha 1:57

  • Good job, excellant voice, you seem like a nice guy.

  • Great TY man...

  • you have so awesome voice!

  • thank you

  • haha 1:57

  • thanks Mojo for all the help you have given me for my shows . Jerome...

  • Nice mustach!! xD ive lisen and learned like all your songs you got at youtube! you make them so easy!! :D

  • You're not picking it right though :S I love your lessons, but the picking wasn't like in the song... it starts in a C, than goes to a G, than Am, and then Am with the ring finger on the e string, 3rd fret.

  • Maybe so...I don't know because I don't know the song well enough. What I do know is that the beauty of music is that overall sound is far more important that hitting the right chords.

  • your not play the g cord right try it with 3rd 2nd and 4th lot easier

but your awsome dude just thought i would try and help

  • The finger picking sounds much more interesting. Great work.

  • rock on brother

  • I love the hat, just wish I could get one like it over here in the uk :)

what can I say I have odd taste in clothing. haha.

BTW your singing is very soulful, it's in tune and sounds great.

your guitars are wonderful. and lessons are somewhat awesome. many thanks to you.

  • Fender sucks!

  • ummm your opinion keep it to yourself

  • who are you kidding?

fender is amazing, you just have no taste

  • the vamp, progression or whatever you wanna call it starts on C. it's definitely not Am-C-G-Am but C-G-Am-Am. Understanding the subdivision of a song is a crucial part of being a musician.

  • standard tuning???

  • did you get that guitar from crook guitars? or just like the paint..cause i thought they were the only ones who did that

  • Good Voice! Thanks!

  • really good man!!

  • Great guitar playing man and great singing :P

I love the sound of your guitar :))

  • you are a really good singer! :D

  • hey good video but just was wondering if you have your amp just in standard or do you have some reverb or something to get that sound
