Private enterprise always had Exec, white and blue collar categories with remuneration reflecting income generation and sustainability. Support duties do not generate income. I am admin and hope we don't think we are equal to professors, scientists, toilet cleaners and maintenance in value to an employer.

There is no glass ceiling as those who generate income reap albeit volatile rewards whilst the rest of us enjoy secure and stable income for our endeavours.

Stop kidding ourselves.
