I find it pretty silly how they talk of realism, then they just throw in generic humanoid aliens like this shit is Mass Effect. Its extremely unrealistic to expect aliens from a completely different biogenesis, completely different evolutionary history fostered by a completely different world to look so close too human. Those aliens better not be hostile either or we're screwed, any species capable of harnessing the power to travel light-years to our solar system would have us fucked.
This seems ok, this does not seem like my kind of thing, but mainstream shooters piss me off. Aside from the setting, and world, this isn't that interesting or innovative. Perhaps they're keeping the good parts secret.
I know DUST 514 is coming to the PSN, which is a MMO/fps co-op'ing EVE Online (PC & MAC users) with DUST 514 on the PSN,, so i know Interstellar Marines would be possible.

I'm sorry, but theres nothing new or innovative from this trailer. To be honest it reminds me of that Republic Commando game. Now its probably going to have a killer story behind it, but aside from that it looks like a generic squad based FPS.
@CookyGames Republic Commando was fucking awesome and a sequel has been LONG overdue. If they want to bring us that but up to date they can take my money. They're an indie developer, do you know how much goes into an fps? The very fact that an indie developer has got this far with it is impressive.
Game looks great, and I can't wait for more info to be released about the storyline and development. The only thing that was really annoying about the video was how fast some of your screen shots and scenario's went by. I barely had a chance to realize what I was looking at before the image changed. Slow it down a tad.

@HardCoreKing360 Something people don't realize: Flash isn't a programming language, Unity isn't a programming language. They're SCRIPTING languages. They write no code, just scripts for the engine. That's why no Flash or Unity program can actually work at any semblance of quality, it's interpreted scripts. Anything that doesn't get compiled into machine code isn't powerful enough to be used in games.

C# just isn't as powerful when it comes to performance, etc. But with Unity and XNA it does it's intended job just nicely. :).

Other than the fact that it looks very generic, I would be willing to bet my bank account that they are making themselves sound much much better than they actually are.
This will be no different than any other FPS other than the fact that it is an indie developer. There will be no innovation here.

I'm sorry, but theres nothing new or innovative from this trailer. To be honest it reminds me of that Republic Commando game. Now its probably going to have a killer story behind it, but aside from that it looks like a generic squad based FPS.

Game looks great, and I can't wait for more info to be released about the storyline and development. The only thing that was really annoying about the video was how fast some of your screen shots and scenario's went by. I barely had a chance to realize what I was looking at before the image changed. Slow it down a tad.

Pcs can be unresponsive but can be alot cheaper when buying games. Xboxs have good grpahics but are older than xbox. They all have quallaties that are good. I would like an xbox version because my xbox is more powerful that my pc. Fair enough?

@EPR89 Unity is worse than Flash. You really have no idea what the backend is like if you don't realize how anything in Unity, like Flash and Java, shouldn't be a game. They are at most only good for simple frontend of programs.

But that doesn't change the fact that this game is impressive. Just because an engine is limited does not mean that the games created with it suck. There are many really good Unity games out there. All it takes is a creative mind and someone who knows how to make his ideas come to life.

@4Zook44 w8... Unity is not a scripting language, its a game engine, the core and the majority of the code is coded in c/c++. The engine is made for .NET in mind so you can use the program language C# but you can also write in C/C++... IM is not SCRIPTED its written in C#. cant w8 for you to reply

Hell he's probably never used Unity. It's basically just like UDK. Everything is integrated into one big development IDE. They just simply use C# as their scripting language. Which is awesome to be honest.

@4Zook44 Neither do you understand what Unity actually is and how C# is used in unity. Yes it's used for the scripting language. But C# is pretty powerful and kind of goes overboard for a scripting language. But again Unity allows C/C++ as well. I believe with the commercial package.

@HardCoreKing360 Something people don't realize: Flash isn't a programming language, Unity isn't a programming language. They're SCRIPTING languages. They write no code, just scripts for the engine. That's why no Flash or Unity program can actually work at any semblance of quality, it's interpreted scripts. Anything that doesn't get compiled into machine code isn't powerful enough to be used in games.

Or managed language can't remember which. But Unity also uses C/C++ as well. So you can use all three.

@4Zook44 The point is every demo i've tried from them has run beautifully and looks awesome. So to sit there and say it's not powerful enough to be used in games is fucking hilarious. XNA (C#) is used on the 360 and there have been graphically amazing plus gameplay amazing games coming out of that.

@NextGenGameDesigner Lol thanks. I've used both Unity and XNA which both use C#. While yes C# is nowhere near as good as C++ because it's a managed language, it still does the job. C# just isn't as powerful when it comes to performance, etc. But with Unity and XNA it does it's intended job just nicely. :).
