I am ending my day right now. This is a great way to end it...something VERY good to sleep on! :-) This song is so powerful; such a beautiful melody with lyrics of such deep truth.
Good performance with pleasant enough video. What peeves me is that I sang this in church today in a castrated version with every clever turn of phrase replaced with something boring and jogtrot. Why does Oregon Catholic Press feel compelled to take all the fun out of hymns? For example, what is gained by replacing the brilliant phrase "and lives that death may die" with "and lives no more to die"? I don't think that the former is heterodox, and the latter is downright banal.
I am always so overwhelmed with how many hymns are divinely inspired, just like our Holy Bible. This song is one of many powerful examples.
