Wow, I couldn't believe it when I looked today and saw that I'm almost up to 5,000 views! Thank you all so much. I see that most of the comments about not liking it have to do with the sound and I totally understand that. I'm just not a producer though. So it's live and it's raw! I'm so overwhelmed by the nice and sometimes funny comments on here (like do I ever hit myself in the head). I thank you all! Hopefully I'll make it to round 2 because of you. Thanks again!!! Brian

Hi everyone. Thanks for viewing and thanks for all the comments, both good and bad. I love constructive criticism. I wish I had mics and a mixer so I could have made this sound a bit better and less raw.. With the playing I was going more for the style that Roger played at the Tribute show. This has been a lot of fun though. Something I've never done before. I also posted some more videos if anyone is interested. Thanks!!!

It's not too hard to hear the timing and you were pretty good - a hair bit off on a few beats in the middle but still just as good as the real thing.

It could have recorded with a multi-track software to keep the base and be able to understand everything.

Cymbals overpower everything. Too bad it's a lot harder to mic drums than it is for any other instrument or vocals.

@hunter1801 Hey Hunter, yeah I agree on that. There's just no controlling that in this situation though unfortunately. I only used a Kodak camera to record this and the mic in the camera. No mics on the drums at all so that's why the cymbals stick out so much. If the camera is behind the kit it's not so bad. But, I didn't think just seeing the view from behind would cut it for the audition video. LOL!! Thanks for watching. This was something different and fun to do.

I borrowed a mixing board to get better sound from my drums since that was a big criticism on here. I'm hoping the improved sound will get your vote and help me to the finals! Thanks Brian Butwin
