  • Most of the time you need basic literacy skills to qualify for programs,but that won't be a problem because most students already mastered them in elementary school. Programs are not really jobs, they don't require a diploma only skills you learned in school like knowledge of hardware components learned from computer science courses. From the video, I believe introducing students into IT programs and activities is a way to reduce the chance of them dropping out.

  • These programs sound great, but don't you have to be able to read and write to qualify for these positions? Will you be accepted without a high school diploma? What does this have to do with the drop out problem?
