Never liked the actual game, it was short as hell. The music was the best part of it though. Mostly because it will seriously remind you of Soul Calibur lol I'm not even joking.

the pictures of ikaruga are all so beautiful...though i have no clue who the human faces are...but this awesome music straight pisses me off because it just reminds me how utterly difficult the game is hahahaha. i forget i have to use four brains just to get anything higher than C on any stage. even Ideal.

@AManofWitMk2 beating ikaruga without relying on its "leniency" where after over 7 hours of play you can continue as many times as you want is extremely, soul reapingly difficult if not impossible. einhander was no walk in the park but it was set up were it was at least possible to beat it with using a few continues even on the hardest level. I'll have to see this DoDonPachi. sounds too close to Jinpachi (tekken 5) he was f****n cheap beyond belief.

@MarcSylex Japanese bullet hell. BRUTAL scoring system. literally voted hardest game on Earth. It was made by Cave. They are the kings of shooters. You don't know hard until you play they're games. Ever seen the vid hardest video game ever? Made by the same people. If you have a recent iphone, ipad, or ipod touch, the new and HARDEST dodonpachi is on. I can guarantee and bet my life you won't find a harder game.

@AManofWitMk2 just saw the doDonPachi clip. Looks alot like Raiden. Bullet hell indeed but from what I saw at least you can power up weapons. if this is on xbox live i'll check it out. no pads, pods or phone (iphone).

@MarcSylex heh heh... Sorry, forgot to mention. Unless you play it on iphone or import a sega saturn copy of the first installment it'll be impossible to play them. They're japan only and region locked. You can import mushihimesama for xbox and ketsui death label on ds however.

I find it sort of odd that the level themes in Ikaruga do not loop. Instead, they are intended to play through the entire level. Interesting idea.

@Sigmanonymous It was originally on the Arcades, but then it went to the Dreamcast, then the Gamecube. Now that it's on XBLA, I wouldn't find it too difficult to believe that it could be on the PSN.
