  • was that the turbo from the diesel i heard spooling near the end there?

  • turbo model? i don't think it's a diesel, either. when i was in afghanistan, these things were called a 'hilux surf'...i think. and the pickups were 'hilux'. and they were right hand steer.

  • TOYOTA IS BOSS!

  • i bet that thing doesnt even hve diff lockers! hoo raw!

  • Love the 3rd gen 4runner i have and be honest love the newest 4runners with the 4l V6 could have had bigger wheels to make it a little wider and put a dual exhaust but thats what we are for.

  • If only Ford made a truck that was small and good for offroading screw the ranger there just cheap love Toyota's

  • jeep sucks okay so shutup toyotas will are and will forever be my favorite truck well the older models anyway i dont know what they think their doin now the new forerunners are UGLY

  • nice going, but those front tires look bald lol

  • All the 4runner and Toyota haters out there bitching about this video need to go suck some. They are only bitching because they know that thier Chevys, Fords, and Dodges couldnt make it up that hill.

  • @Motorfordtoyota Your a joke, my jeep would drag that rice turd toyota up the hill even with the jerk inside standing on the brakes, but then again toyota's arent known for having very good brakes LOL

  • @meattube4u33 Excuse me? Your the joke here. Your jeep would have a dead transmission before it GOT to the hill. Just to let you know, my 88 4runner has excelent brakes. If you think your Jeep could pull a 4runner up that hill the your wrong. Why dont you get off of the 4runner vids if you dont like them? I dont like Jeeps, but do you see me on Jeep vids? NO. And, have fun replacing your transmission.

  • @Motorfordtoyota My last jeep's transmission worked just fine and the engine was still strong after 250k miles when I sold it, and the kid I sold it too has beat the hell out of it and it still runs strong. My new jeep is modded for crawling and its transmission is working perfectly so I dont know what your on about but I do know toyota sucks!

  • @meattube4u33 Like I said, if you dont like 4Runners, get the hell off of the 4runner vids.

  • @Motorfordtoyota How about you buy American or get the hell out of America.

  • @meattube4u33 Just to let you know Jeep isnt American, its Italian now. Infact, the Italians are getting rid of most jeep modles and are replacing them with shitty euro-boxes.

  • @meattube4u33 Don't even bring Jeep in here. For every old Jeep still ON the road, there are hundreds more old Toyotas OFF the road. And those Toyotas aren't in garages, they're taking on the rough stuff as if it was pavement. Jeep doesn't suck, but those things don't last as long as a Toyota. 250k is NOT impressive. Try 300k or even 400k WITHOUT any powertrain repairs, then come back here and brag about your Jeep.

  • wow aggresive climb :P love it :P

  • nice. I have an 88 v6 automatic. took it out a few times. it was doing good on simi muddy, dirt road. I got it stuck in the snow in march. left it there for a week but went back and got it out with a hand winch. what the hell.

  • 22RTE? Did I hear a turbo?

  • @taitai907 Holy shit, I could have sworn I heard a Turbo too, right at the end.

  • what a hunk of shit, buy a jeep and drive up a little hill that size like going to church on sunday

  • @meattube4u33 buy a Jeep and your tranni will blow up before you get out of the driveway. Chrsyler sucks, Toyota is far better.

  • @Motorfordtoyota toyota used to be good but now they are built here by workers that make less than 1/2 union wages, no wonder the quality is garbage.

  • @meattube4u33 Their quality is cheap now because they try to make everyting in the USA. Atleast Toyota pays US workers. Ford, GM, and Chrysler pay Chinese, Mexicans, and Canadians to build their cars and trucks. Tisk Tisk.

  • toyotas are #1

  • is it stock?

  • cool

  • i would be easier standard first of all power shift the fuck out of it second at half pop the clutch third at top pop it again so it throws dirt into the sky

  • trucks for champs

  • hell fuckin ya. that was nice. i got a 4runner and they woop ass with 4x4

  • toyotas suck, no power

  • @blazinloud i will blok you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @knaussbrad go for it fag, why would i care....

  • im surprised u didn't tip that mug over

  • Sounds like my chainsaw XD

  • Definitely heard some kind of turbo whistle at the end

  • damn that looked that rig walked up it

  • damn thats what i call built Toyota TOUGH. Ford aint got shit on that!

  • these were the best they were strong solid and could go any where i had a 91 back in the day....have an 09 now and it cant do half of what the old one did mainly because of the fact theyre trying to make them sportier with the suspension and tires it has....i take my fj cruiser off road more than the 4runner now adays

  • if at first you don't succeed, floor it :D

  • nice turbo on that thing you can hear it at the end...

  • how much are the rc truck?

  • My little cousins got one of these and we call it "Truckie" there the meanest rucks out man Toyota Surf or 4runner whatever you pakehas call them!! haha!!

  • are you sure you don't mean peachka's

  • This truck is totally a 1987 Tacoma 4Runner TRD!!! Hilux and hte Tacoma 4runner are exactly the same but their different, so everyone can stop guessing since i just set the record straight. I know alot about these vehicles from hanging out at the local Jiffy Lube in my spare time and picking the brains of the very knowledgable "mechanics" there and wishing i owned one of these myself.

    HaHa!!!

  • You tools obviously know nothing of Toyota's. That is a 4-runner, from the year range of 1986-1989. It's not a pickup, it's not a Hilux. It's a 4-Runner. Look in the video towards the end, you can see the badge on it. The 4-Runners of that era used the same style cab and front fenders as the pickup, but they had a removable top. Once they went to 1990, they changed to a one piece body, with no removable top. Any quick search on Google or Yotatech will tell you this. Geesh.

  • @bigtoyota479 Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing lol. Toyotas are nice. I have a 1996 4runner and ive had that thing go through so much shit and it still works great.

  • yea no. hilux and 4runner are both not pickups. yes hilux is the model name for 4runners elsewhere but if you look at the cap as it comes up you can make out 4runner.

  • isnt the ford bronco considered an suv. the hilux and 4runner both have those detachable caps. hilux and 4runner are identical. if you look at the side of the cap right behind the window in gold it would either say hilux or 4runner. if you look carefully you can make out that it says 4runner.

  • Truck needs a locker or two...

  • is your tacoma boosted? sounded like it had something under the hood!

    I <3 toyota!

  • tacoma?

  • sounds like a diesel to me

  • is this a 22r cause it sonunds like it?

whats the power and fuel consumption like?

ive heard there an awsome engine

  • It does sound like it but it also sounds like the 22rte

  • The 22r motors are a fantastic motor and VERY reliable, as long you stick a plastic back over the coil and dizzy (otherwise it'll die as soon as it hits water. The only problem with these motors is the fuel consumption, but then if you stick a fuel injection kit on them it should make them a lot better aka. the 22re

  • so long as the timing chain doesnt stretch like it does every 75k.

  • Err Westley woulda had it already, its about fun dip shit

  • Its called GIVER SHIIIIT

  • hockey pucks

  • I have a 100% stock 1985 4Runner. What kind of lift you have on that and what size tires? Thx.

  • Should have kept trying the first line. could have made it with a little more momentum and front tire spin

  • He's in 4 wheel already...how is he going to spin the tires more??

  • Noob, a locker works to block the differential on the front and rear wheels.

So if you apply two lockers to your truck, the 4 wheels will spin together giving you a lot of more traction.

  • Only for Pros men

  • nice climb lol

  • hey if i bought a forerunner think it would be a good truck to have for muddin and such ??

  • Its a good and relieble truck i have one a 2007 its good for ofroad it could do mud but have some momentum, remember its a normal SUV it aint no wrangler or h1 or defender but its good of road

  • true. but the early versions were more forgiving offroad. they were a tank. i have a black 1990 4runner 22r unleaded 4 cylender. when i have mickey thompson baja claws on it plus my 2 inch lift it goes anywere. but then they went soft and made them a more luxurious city car. sad that =(

  • I agree 100% but it still is a very good car and it is great off road when compared to other city suvs

  • I agree I have a 1998 6 cylinder for driving everywhere, it is also the car that my visitors use. I have it on 32" nitto mud grapplers and no lift, I also have a 2005 armored stock 4 runner and that is my everyday drive but I some times switch to my jeep or my toyota tundra

  • i think a 4runner wud be better for these kind of conditions not for serious mud

  • If you look in the mirror, im sure you will see the biggest piece of shit ever!

  • LOL!

  • @tonyinfinity you can talk buddy. Post a video of yourSMart Car =] I bet that little thing wouldnt even make it to the hill =]

  • @8391208 Hey dip shit do you even know what you're responding to?

  • *Ahem* "Biggest PIECES of shit."

  • !!

    NICE

  • toyota owns ford's ass.

  • @knuckles362 I love love love yotas, but my 92 f350 would crawl right up that with none of the bouncing

  • @Willaz66 well wheres the fun in that haha

  • @DanHenderso tackling bigger hills :D I'll get a video up real soon hehe

  • @knuckles362 ya who needs brakes? chevy power!!

  • @blazinloud LOL, I gotta admit, that's pretty funny. But in my defense, this was typed before the brake problem....I forgot about this video.

  • @knuckles362 Is that why toyota builds shit? LOL

  • wow ur a fag

  • i agree he is a fag get a real life

  • come on guys.. everyone knows if u wheel enough and hard youll work on ur truck.. my buddies run yotas and jeeps and we can all agree jeeps are better stock.. there inline 6 engine runs the longest, and are very tough.. yotas have better stock axles, and are cheap! to build up.. lets stop the trash talking, help each other out and have some fun.. ncie runner by the way

  • your right buddy.

4x4 to gether u might get saved by an arch enimie 4x4 brand

  • dude, crazy, ive done some gnarly climbs in my 4runner, but, fucksake that was steep as fuck!

  • no joke good enginering

  • Nice driving picking the right path does the trick.

  • i like jeeps, they are fun to pullout of the mud!! yota baby!!!

  • dude....shut up

  • If you like working on your truck, your right ,get a Jeep! If you dont, get a Toyota!

  • ya i know a couple people with old 4runners that have over 250k miles and they havent had any majior problems yet

  • Wow, he made it!

  • manual or automatic?

  • Is that 2lt or 22rte? If that runner has a diesel swap that is badass.

  • that vintage yota blows the new tacoma crap being put out. No its no JK< TJ wrangler but i like em.

  • is a toyota surf or not???

  • im sure you have a 4runner... jajaja

  • jeeps suck yota all the way

  • get a trooper !!

  • Yes!! Gen 1 4Runners Rock!

  • Steep hill?? Really... Sad..

  • This looked like a rc car soz

  • sounds like a 22re turbo for sure

the 4runner is about the right year

  • swet vid dude. I have a 99 4 runner and it runs like a dream. Last week i went muddin and boy i was ahead of evry1. We saw a bmw x5 tryin to mud lol! That thing couldnt go through a puddle with out takin in water

  • Got to love the 4 runners!

  • dominguero

  • yeah the 22RE-T they made them in 87 to 88

  • its a turbo diesel. listen to the very end when he lets off the throttle, you can hear the turbo spin down.

  • Sounds too much like a turbo diesel to me, toyata made a small amount of diesels with turbo, and I think they made some gasoline turbo's too

  • some of the older 4runners came with a turbo 4cyl from the factory

  • I heard a turbo too. that dirtbike sound in the begining is a dirtbike dumb ass

  • gettt rrrr done

  • his engine sounds like a dirtbike. something isnt right.

  • fords and chevy are fucking stupid ass domestic vehicles and you come on the internet to tell people your jackass opinion but your such a fucking loser your not brave enough to say that to their face, please kill yourself.

  • toyota are foreign fuck trucks. those trucks are useless, drive a ford or a chevy u pieces of shits

  • mmhmm, I'm not taking ya serisouly :P

  • is that a 4 cylinder man??

  • maggotmekanix, have you ever driven a 4Runner?...if not, then you don't know what the hell youre talking about

  • neat...i see you had to take the easy route.

  • pretty lame, but ok for a yank
