@Motorfordtoyota My last jeep's transmission worked just fine and the engine was still strong after 250k miles when I sold it, and the kid I sold it too has beat the hell out of it and it still runs strong. My new jeep is modded for crawling and its transmission is working perfectly so I dont know what your on about but I do know toyota sucks!

This truck is totally a 1987 Tacoma 4Runner TRD!!! Hilux and hte Tacoma 4runner are exactly the same but their different, so everyone can stop guessing since i just set the record straight. I know alot about these vehicles from hanging out at the local Jiffy Lube in my spare time and picking the brains of the very knowledgable "mechanics" there and wishing i owned one of these myself.

You tools obviously know nothing of Toyota's. That is a 4-runner, from the year range of 1986-1989. It's not a pickup, it's not a Hilux. It's a 4-Runner. Look in the video towards the end, you can see the badge on it. The 4-Runners of that era used the same style cab and front fenders as the pickup, but they had a removable top. Once they went to 1990, they changed to a one piece body, with no removable top. Any quick search on Google or Yotatech will tell you this. Geesh.

The 22r motors are a fantastic motor and VERY reliable, as long you stick a plastic back over the coil and dizzy (otherwise it'll die as soon as it hits water. The only problem with these motors is the fuel consumption, but then if you stick a fuel injection kit on them it should make them a lot better aka. the 22re

Noob, a locker works to block the differential on the front and rear wheels.

So if you apply two lockers to your truck, the 4 wheels will spin together giving you a lot of more traction.
