Hey, what probably make this so confusing is that the census tried to make Hispanic into a race (I think it was Mexican but I think I read Hispanic) in the early 1900's. The people of that origin said no. When you look back a movies and the views on marrage you'll find that Whites were more accepting of the Mexicans than they were the Blacks, Asians, or First Nation.
