  • I was 22 days old! Love your vintage videos! Long live Betamax

  • these were great cars. i wish i could still find them in this condition, but in this climate they are long gone. right now im driving a 91 cavalier with the original 2.2 TBI. 170K on the odometer and still runs excelllent. it came from down south so the body is still pretty good, only 2-1/2 winters. i want to see how many miles i can rake up on this old car before she quits. i did the head gasket and the tranny was rebuilt so im good for a while

  • What a car! I wish I could locate one in good condition...but they are always beat up.

  • Oh, God, no, I sold this years and years ago.

  • You were looking for rust on a three year old car? Where they really that shitty? Wow.. I used to love that car when I was a kid. I can't believe what a shit box it was.

  • @jdichter actually these were very reliable cars, rusted or not, i myself have an 86' 6000 STE and it has almost no rust, just small spots of surface rust, you see, back then primmer with rust inhibitor was very poor, and didn't last long, now it has greatly improved, now it takes many years for rust to form on todays cars, trucks, vans, etc

  • Great cars indeed, GM went on to destroy the rock solid V-6s and to use dexcool causing IM gasket leaks. They also decided to reduce brake quality, front-end component quality and more.

  • I had the exact same car when I was young... Didn't appreciate how gr8 it was until it was stolen and wrecked...LOVED the radio controls on the stearing wheel... Did have over 100K when it was killed.

  • mon cousin a deja eu un pontiac 6000 v6 chpence que sétais son premier char pi ca marche en criss pareil

  • This is a very nice car, i have the same one, but a different color, same year though, i'm never going to get rid of it, i love it

  • more good news, i will be binging my 6000 STE home tomorrow

  • 1200 dollar radio?? got damn i payed 30$ for one of those 3 months ago i put in a corsica..lol an i didnt know they made radio controls for that wheel...i thought they were only for the last gen ste's with the bubble rear windshield...clean ste!! an this video really took me back!

  • great news, i will soon be the proud owner of a 1986 ste, like this one, only burgandy

  • Cool! Post a video so we can all see!

  • i will as soon as i bring the car home, that moment is rapidly approching!!!

  • Did you Like the X-bodies? 1980-85 Citation,Omega,Skylark,Phoenix ...i have a Mint shape 85 skylark....

  • Not many STEs left!!

  • Was this car a Cleveland car? Even though it's three years old and with loads of miles it looks pretty good for a Cleveland car (for those of you who aren't Clevelanders, the salt the city uses is murder).

  • lol AM stereo. great vid

  • The radio controls on the steering wheel was a cool feature. GM made a big mistake dropping Pontiac.

  • TheYellowTaxi was hacked :(

  • Yeah. Why do people do this? So imature.

  • acclaims are awful i admit it im just so ghey that i have sex with toliets

  • acclaims are awesome cars shut the hell up ass hole

  • i'm getting a new car soon, 1988 6000 LE V6, my car's tranny is going, of course what the hell do you expect when you own a Plymouth Acclaim V6 with the A604 Ultradrive 4 speed, like the Acclaim i own

  • MY first car was the 1986 6000 LE, and man I loved that car!!! I purchased the car my junior year in HS back in 96. I sold it in 2001 for $250 because it had...guess what...a major oil leak!

  • Great video. YOu gotta love going back in time. I sure wish I had done that w/ my cars. I bet you miss it. I am getting ready to scan some road tests of this car from Motor Trend and Automobile, for a forum that I am a part of. Should have them up soon. Great vid!!

  • that was an awesome car, my dad also had a 1986 pontiac 6000 ste just like this, only it was burgandy, with tan interior, plus he baught it new that year, he got rid of it back in 1988, and he wishes he still had it, he told me that it was a nice car, i'll bet you wish you wish you still had yours

  • Yes, I sure do!! I got rid of it because it had a major oil leak, and I just didn't want to deal with the expense of fixing it. This was a GREAT car!!

  • it sucks that it had an oil leak

  • Hey what did you think of the 1983-1986 Midsized Ford LTD/Midsized Mercury marquis? i have an 85 and Love it....I Would Love a 6000....these were good cars....i had the Buick version of 6000.....Buick century 1983

  • This was a nice car. How long did you own it? I don't suppose you know what ultimately happened to it, do you? It's an incredible time warp seeing one of these STEs as it was back in the day. I have a blue 1985 STE that's been in the family since 1987, it's now my car and has over 178k miles on it. I want to keep it on the road as long as I possibly can.

  • I only had this beaut for 2 years, I replaced it with a 1986 Caddie Fleetwood, a video of which is also up on YouTube. The STE developed a bad oil leak, and I just didn't want to deal with the repair cost. Good luck with your '85!
