A couple of things for you he cannot do even after reading the actual texts; He can't see through metaphors, calculate logarithms or comprehend metaphysical theses etc are some of those things. On the other hand I can't blame him, it seems like there's enough "ordinary" people out there who have problems with these things.

@K4inan You do have a point sort of, but he is probably most of our equals intellectually; seeing as an actual IQ test, performed by a qualified psychologist involves memory. And, in the real world, most people never experience love because they don't personally - understand it or they simple never meet that someone. Most people quote the dictionary definition or a half formed idea of there own. Some even pinch Shakespeare or Petrarch, who in good old poetic tradition nicked it off someone else!

@ty56ty65 Its actually a very old label, from when "idiot" was not so much of an accusatory word, but more of a descriptive word. It was supposed to tie together the concept of having low abilities in many areas, and extraordinary abilities in others.
