But a few things confuse me here..
Firstly, this recitation is to be named as a - 'Nasheed', and not a 'song', My reason for this is because some people don't really understand the difference between a song and a nasheed. A song consists of beats not a nasheed, because any instrument is classified as music, which in Islaam, is totaly Haraam - 'لغناء ىنبت النفاق فى ا لقلب كما ىنبت ا لماء ا لزرع' -

Ok, serious question, I have been reading about Islam's take on Jesus, and I find that he was one of the prophets, and even the Mesiah? So that means...he was Son of God? Yet in another text I read that some Muslim's do NOT believe that he was Mesiah? I don't get it.

@Grundalizer Hello brother. There is no text that says that Jesus (pbuh) is not a messenger and messiah. In the Qur'an it's quite clear if you read Surah Mary (Jesus (pbuh) mother). Just type in Surah Maryam in Youtube and read te subtitles. In Islam Jesus (pbuh) is the messiah. EVERY MUSLIM BELIEVES THAT JESUS (PBUH) IS THE MESSAIH. No it doesnt mean that he was the son of God, it depends what you mean when you say son of God. God does not beget. Messiah in hebrew/arabic means 'anointed'. Peace

There is Only One God, to which deserves to be worshipped. As for the biblical position on sexuality I have to disagree and I have no need to reread my bible - i read it regularly and also have a BA in Bibilical studies and theology, a MA in theology and I'm currently completing my doctorate so this is an issue I know very well. Equally your view of religious beliefs is extremely reductionist - there is a huge variety of positions

As for other Christians and Muslims , there are some who hate me because of my sexuality and this pains me, but there are also those who don't and who stand up for me. I have also met atheists who hate me because I am gay so this is an issue which is not simply religious. My point is that in insulting Muhammed you are insulting someone who was genuinely a force for good as well as seeking to insult and hurt many good people

@filiocht Hey there, well I have to agree with you that I seem like an extreme reductionist is a religious sense. Although I attended a Catholic school and went to church until the age of 18, it was never forced on me after junior high school. I had a feeling like I woke up one day and seen it all for what it was, and that was it, I lost faith. I agree with this assessment and have yet to this day to hear an argument to convince me otherwise. If you say the bible approves of homosexuality, doesn't support stoning unruly sons to death, doesn't support selling your daughter into slavery and doesn't tell unsubstantiated stories throughout. @filiocht cont3,,,I want religion taught from a truthful perspective, in history class. I don't want imprisonments, executions, bible burning or anything like that. I want to stop governments from injecting money into god. Blaspheme laws are a joke and should be revoked worldwide to allow people freedom of choice and opinion. Religion always tries to say that something like 88% of the world is religious. Truth is 80%+ does not have the freedom to be otherwise. I attack religion not people.

Ok, serious question, I have been reading about Islam's take on Jesus, and I find that he was one of the prophets, and even the Mesiah? So that means...he was Son of God? Yet in another text I read that some Muslim's do NOT believe that he was Mesiah? I don't get it.
It seems like Islam, Christianity, Judaism, is all from the same one...yet they all hate each other for small tiny things?

@Grundalizer Hello brother. There is no text that says that Jesus (pbuh) is not a messenger and messiah. In the Qur'an it's quite clear if you read Surah Mary (Jesus (pbuh) mother). Just type in Surah Maryam in Youtube and read te subtitles. In Islam Jesus (pbuh) is the messiah. EVERY MUSLIM BELIEVES THAT JESUS (PBUH) IS THE MESSAIH. No it doesnt mean that he was the son of God, it depends what you mean when you say son of God. God does not beget. Messiah in hebrew/arabic means 'anointed'. Peace

@Grundalizer I don't want to get into an in-depthtal here but in Islam, Jesus is just one of the 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur'an. The other 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur'an, are, but to name a few; Dawud (David), Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus), Nuh (Noah), Zakariya (Zacharia), Harun (Aaron), Adam (Adam), Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaaq (Isaac), Yusuf (Joseph), Sulayman (Solomon) amongst the others that are mentioned.Peace be unto you.

@Grundalizer What you have to understand brother is that the word Messiah is replete within the Bible, it doesn't mean that a person is divine. There is Only One God, to which deserves to be worshipped. No human is God, Muslims respect all the prophets that came to preach the message that there is only One God, this is known as Tawhid in Islam. There is nothing to the likeness of God, what ever you can imagine to be God, is simply not God. I would advise you to watch 'Is Jesus God' debate on YT

In Islam, Jesus (Arabic: عيسى; ʿĪsá) is considered to be a Messenger of God and the Messiah who was sent to guide the Children of Israel (banī isrā'īl) with a new scripture, the Injīl or Gospel. This scripture (what the christians have today known as the New Testament), was not preserved and scribes changed and altered the message by adding to it and deleted portions to it. There were many schismatic groups in Early Christianity.

@Grundalizer Again i want to reiterate that ALL Muslims believe in ALL of the prophets and mesengers that preceded the final mesenger to mankind, the prohet Muhammad (pbuh). I bet you didn't know that there is a chapter in the Qur'an called Mary or in Arabic Mariam. Allah is just the Arabic word for the english word God meaning in Arabic 'the God'. Muslims prefer using the word Allah as the word God in english can be played around with i.e God's, Goddess, Godlings, God-father,God-mother etc.

If you go to Yusuf Islams web page you can read him saying why he has dropped Islam From His Stage Name and that he will not wear islamic clothes or a turban and that he regrets being a conformist to the islamic crowd when he first converted. Needn't enunciate to Wahabbi/Deobandi (the deviant sects of Islam), I guess. "among you lives the Prophet"; the word "lives" has answered all doubts of Wahabbis/Deobandis who are the enemies of Islam who don't accept Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) to be alive, they misguide you and make you terrorists. Don't offer prayers behind them as it's disallowed.
