The town folk are too easily influenced by popular opinion. They always take the easy road and let Ethan to the hard stuff. Of course that is why he is the star of the show. I'm just glad that this town was not real and I didn't live in it. You can't count on the people to defend what's theirs with the exception of a few. I sure wouldn't want to fight any wars with them since no one would have my six.
