  • I'm having the surgery in one week to both upper and lower jaw, I have an overbite

  • @ElCameronDormido good luck you will be fine, be positive, just make sure you have a good blender, a lot of shakes and liquids, icecream & soups...etc...oh and alot of vaseline for your lips...

  • hello

i was just wondering if after having the surgery the sound of your voice was affected or changed in any way?

or if you have been unable to open your jaw as wide as you used to?

that may be a silly question, i dont know :P

but i am a singer and i am considering having this surgery

and the only thing realy holding me back is fear of how it might affect my voice in the long term.

    xx

  • @funnyfacerful the sound of my voice changed just a tiny bit, but has not affected my singing in any negative way, I would say it is actually better, my jaw is aligned properly so the singing will be great for you. Don't worry, if you need the surgery do it, and in regards to pain, there hardly is any, your nerves are manipulated during the surgery and your face is numb for a few weeks all you will feel is discomfort. It was 100 times easier than I thought honestly.
