Yes she is amazing but sorry for me the best jazz scat ever is Ella Fitzgerald "One note samba". I never heard anybody else so far able to do better than that. I still like this one though.

@83papple scatting is a classic form of jazz improvisation and that's kinda the point. U are supposed to improvise a melody to sound like an instrument. I do think she could've had a little more variety and swing in her scat but she is definitely good and they sound great together. There is no such thing as a "best" scat though, everyone does it differently

I used to think Eric Clapton was the best but I've heard better. He's very very good....but he's not the best. I'm the best...I'm a legend in my own mind. Ha Ha.
