  • I always hated Riley for not turning to his left, I thought he was awesome until he got in that chopper.

  • Love it!

  • Where can you get this song?

  • i still think buffy should have thrown an orange cone at riley

  • This "Almost" moment KILLED me. But the more I think about it, the more I feel like they were waiting for the moment to get rid of Riley. The way the breakup is treated in its aftermath is funny (Buffy sobbing on Tara's shoulder about the "little things" and then kicking troll butt with "Their love... will last... FOREVER!") Buffy's breakup with Angel almost destroyed her. Her relationship with Riley was more complex and interesting, but ultimately weighed much less.

  • i just ripped it myself and have editied a 3:11 track. very nice. if anyone wants it message me on youtube.

  • I love the stills that go with this.

  • @BedazzledHeart thanks!

  • stupid riley getting married lol

  • thank god riley left! but this is one of the best music pieces on buffy

  • does anyone know where i can get this piece of music without the sfx and dialogue on? ive been looking for it for ages, i heard they used to play it on radio sunnydale bu ive never found it

  • @rofriki i guess it was never released

  • this was a great episode, the ending coupled with this beautiful and haunting score by thomas wanker is just too much. i get misty eyed everytime.

  • any idea wer i can find the btvs chaos bleeds menu music by ian livingstone? its impossible to find :(

  • @slayerfox2009 i might have it, just keep buzzing me so i don't forget about it :)

  • @ChimeraChan ok =) thanks for replying :)

  • where does evryone find the songs that arent on the soundtrack on itunes??

  • Merci :)

  • Also, I think the most heartbreaking part is 1:41 onwards, since it uses the Buffy/Riley season 4 theme in it's final climax, and you know it's the last time :(.

  • This was horrible. She finally realized he was the perfect guy (logically) for her, and she gets there too late. Just horrible. I never liked Riley pretty much at all until I re-watched S4 and S5 two months ago, though I did first see it when I was like 10 or 11, and now I'm 19. I still agree with what my older sister said all those years ago though; "SHE SHOULD'VE THROWN A BLOODY ROCK!".

  • Too bad that Riley had to leave. I felt so sorry for him on the 5th season. Buffy treated him so badly. First I hated him too, but nowadays I love him.

  • @Halinallen Same!

  • thank god they made Riley leave i really hated him

  • I wish this song was on the album:( soooo good....and sad.

  • i just saw this episode today and it still makes me cry :'(

  • do you know where I can find the end of this episode? Because when I tried to watch it, it froze...

  • Without the talking would have been good..

  • This one, together with Wankers score during Willows mindwalker scene in Ep 5x21 (Weight of the world) and Becks Slayers Elegy is one of the best musical scores of Buffy and Angel combined.

  • where can i find that song from 5x21? I sooo need to:(

  • i can mail it 2 u

  • @tombxraiderxoracle It's called "Sacrifice" from "The Gift"... lots of people have put it up :)

  • damn, i tried to upload this but they censored me every damn time! Great to see that you made it work.

did you rip this from the episode or was it released by Thomas Wanker????

  • It is a rip, i didn't rip it myself but i'm glad i made the upload and some of you - who like the scores as much as i - happy :)

  • the thing that gets to me about this episode, is that we will never know whether riley actually heard buffy calling him, while he was in the helicopter.

  • Well duh! obviously he didn't hear her, otherwise he would have peeked. Ignoring her seems highly unlikely, seeing as how he waited for her,,,,,

  • I highly doubt that he didn't hear her calling his name. If he'd heard her, he'd have told the guy to land the helicopter again. I would guess he wanted Buffy to show up more than anything so he definitely didn't hear her.

  • @FiveBii5 Seems obvious that he didn't hear her, and that he did NOT ignore her, that's ridiculous. That just wouldn't make sense. That wasn't the man he was supposed to be, and we would have seen some reaction then, a tightening of the jaw or some such.

  • @FiveBii5 She told him in season 6 though, in the episode that he returned briefly with his BITCH of a wife Sam. (Okay she was pretty much his perfect woman but I was channelling my inner WIllow from that episode just then) right?

  • @AndrewDeCostole Yes. Twice.

  • @FiveBii5 He didn't. He would have stayed. That was the whole point.

  • @FiveBii5 I know! It kinda seems like he did hear her but then if he had, why wouldn't he have stayed?

  • @FiveBii5

I'm shure he'd turn back again, if he heard her. What gets ME is that she doesnt tell him, when he comes back!

  • @prompeland what would have been the use?

  • @kneegroaw I just thinks he kinda deservs to know

  • @prompeland that she made a mistake in letting him go? While he was there, sporting a new gf, obviously happy with his new life? idk. i guess its water under the bridge. its not like it was a kid he never knew. It would have hurt him, and thereby it would have hurt her too, and so ... no use. It's not like "Mighty Aphrodite"!!

  • @SnabKebab yeah, i understand why she doesnt tell him, thats not the issue. I just think that if i were him, id like to know. even though i knew it was too late

  • @prompeland hmmm, like "hey, I let you go, but in the end I didn't want to" mAYBE. But if I was Riley, I then would have wondered why Buffy, with all her powers couldn't get around a little thing like his whereabouts being classified ...

  • @prompeland So ..... did you ever forgot to tell someone something they deserved to know?

  • Most films can't count such great scores their own. And it's so fitting to the moment! From the moment when Xander says "Run!" I got the chills.

  • i think s5 and s7 had the best soundtrack

  • "hate" you so much! I tried & tried to upload this time & again & the fucking youtube comp. deletes this every shitting time! Why oh why, does it leave yours untouched!??;) :)

Truly a masterful, dramatic piece, not sure if its better than Chris Becks work, it surely rivals it.

Thomas Wanders piano pieces in 5.17 "Forever " (the funeral) and in 5.21 "Weight of the world", (repeated at the end of ep 6.10 "Wrecked") are also brilliant exercises in understatement of emotion. Check em out

  • ive been trying to find these for literally years lol. where can i see them? :)

  • The best song!

  • Thank you so much! I love this music! Could you please upload the song that plays at joyce's funeral in forever?

  • I agree, I'd love that bit of music :)

  • I will check again..i watched the episode just because you guys asked for it but at the funeral the song is very very short...could you point it out to me in what episodes i might find the same song?

  • bye riley =]

  • oddio chè bella questa canzone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gia, bellissima,io però intanto continuo ad impazzire cercando il tema che si sente in sottofondo nell'episodio "per sempre",quando seppelliscono Joyce.

  • i kill him off in a fan fic lol

  • *__* waoo ________ W Buffy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • One of the best composed songs on Buffy. Thanks for putting it on here. !!! :)

  • You are welcome :) I'm glad i can share!
