Now to date, there are only three to four of these buses left. Why does TTC decide to retire these buses? They have only served us for 22 years, while the fishbowl buses have served us for at least 25 years. I suggest that they should not retire these buses before the fishbowl buses.

Money is really it. The Flyer D901s suffer from frame corrosion and when the frame cracks you have safety issues this is the same with cars. At this point they're more susceptible to frame corrosion than the GMs which use a old monocoque design(frame on body). The D901s did better than their successor D40s because of the material used to construct the frame. The new Orion VIIs are constructed with stainless steel frames in hopes to avoid expensive labour intensive frame repairs.
Yeah, and TTC is already suffering a deficit. The Flyer D901's are basically being knocked out from service by the low-floor buses, which came in 2005. Also, some of the fishbowl buses are also retire this year, the ones that are manufactured in 1977. TTC is retiring all its good buses.
It was confirmed to have been seen at Hillcrest around February 2006. Its possible it might have broke down and wasn't fixed by the time its MTO sticker expired.
That was 7754, it was one of the few Orion VIIs that received the Telus wrap. The telus wrap was put on only a few GM New Looks and Orion VIIs I believe the wrap disappeared before the holidays.
so the wraps remained on the GM New Looks? Some of those buses are disapearing slowly, those buses were with the TTC for so long, they had a good life, i dont know of any other transit that kept there buses as long as the TTC but toronto should keep atleast 100 of them in service, since GM dont make buses anymore.
The wraps are all gone from all buses including the New Looks. The new wraps out are the Blue Jays wraps which is on buses 6108 and 6167 and I believe 2 other Orion VIIs. Malvern Town Center wrap is on 6201 its pink so its easy to catch. The buses that are retiring for good are the Flyer D901s #6000-6122, #6130-6204, the 1987 GM and MCI Classics #6210-6293 and the 1998 Orion VIs #9200-9249. I also agree, the GMs were here since 1959 they were the symbol of the TTC bus fleet even to this day.
