Yes, getting off to a rough start and a big Bust for December ! I'll be doing and update in the next week explaining what's gone wrong so far and where I think we're going for the rest of winter. It's only Dec 23rd and 2nd full day of winter and people are jumping ship LOL. I look for some changes during 2nd half of January and big pattern reversal for Feb and into March.
Good forecast on breaking the dynamics down. We call it a forecast but they are just predictions. It is ok to be wrong. I think your in line with what's to come. I just think winter will come in a lot later than thought. Good job Ruggie

I'm not a meteorologist, but I agree with this forecast more than a lot of the others. I just hope southwest Oklahoma gets at least one good snow/ice storm like the past 2 years. Any thoughts on that weather people?
@LoganMulti12 actualy, no Houston will get some beneficial rain on a weekly basis. also it will be quite chilly as apposed to "cold shots here and there". This will be because of strong upward motion off of the gulf coast as well of the southeast coast. That combined with a negative AO PDO and a positive NAO will provide abundant cold air, that cold air will try to move south on its own but with the upward motion to help, a constant flow could set up at times.
Therefore i give Houston a 70% chance of seeing some form of frozen precip. im keeping my eye on one scenario that could play out around the 20th of dec that could be very interesting.
