This will save so much parking spaces in busy downtown areas, no more looking around for your car in the parking lot, and a safer way to park in public parking lots. I can see this in the future in the US and Europe.

Why is the parking garage illuminated ? I'm presuming that the parking process is automated, there is no crane operator. If so why do teh storage bays require illumination other then for maintenance?

@rayyf69 Illuminated for surveilance I'm guessing. Automated or not you'd want to be able to watch the car and make sure it doesn't get damaged or the machines don't break down. Night vision probably wouldn't be the best idea for it.
