As much as I would like to see Celtics and Lakers in the Finals, I think Pistons will most likely win the series.

Pistons had more time to rest, their core players have been together longer, and they have more experience in playoffs than the current Celtics.

Of these two teams, Lakers have better overall ability, and people keep underestimating the teamwork LA has had in the playoffs. Gasol, and Odom alone give me a good reason to pick LA to win.

Compared to last year, LA has a big squad this year.

I don't know all that much about lottery numbers, rhoncheemeechee, but I do know this: If Boston beats Detroit in Game 7 (probable), and if the NBA finals are decided in Game 6 or 7, (again probable), then Boston would have played in 109-110 games, an NBA record for games played in a single season!

Boston is good, but the number of games they are playing will definitely wear them out, and will definitely prevent them from an NBA championship.

Lakers and Pistons are more well-rested.

Spurs are a tough team, but I think Lakers would go on to the Finals and win the elusive NBA Championship.

All of Boston's Game 7s will fatigue them, and Boston will win the Eastern Conference Finals over the Pistons, (again, in Game 7), but the Lakers have more than enough offense, and above-average defense to win it all.

So, in terms of respective Conference Finals, its Los Angeles Lakers 4 to Spurs 2, and Boston 4 to Pistons 3.

And, in terms of the NBA Finals, it is LA over Boston.
