i was 13 in '96 when Hundley hit the homerun to beak the record. my friends dad had season tickets and we were at that game. i remember watchin the local news over and over to see the replay. it was great. LETS GO METS!

This was the year where they were up by one game in the WC with five to play, only to precede to lose two to the lowly Expos at Shea and then get swept in one of many disastrous series at Turner against the Braves. We had gotten our unusable playoff tickets that weekend.

Great Video, brought back memories. Loved Todd Hundley, especially when he first broke the catchers record for most homeruns, then javier lopez for the braves beat it out by 2 homeruns a few years later i believe. Anyways, loved the video

I wonder if the Mets are planning to do what the Giants did at their new ballpark - have an area set aside where fans can peek inside and watch the game for free. It works quite well at AT&T Park.
