@The3Michael3 Nothing was told of it because of Rage. Doom 4 has been in developement since 2008. It seems to be out in 2013, I guess. Though, there have been some leaks and if they are true, Doom 4 is gonna be something like Resistance/Half-life 2 with demons, and that's completely not what I'd look forward to.

Demons should fight like demons, and killing them should be a fun, viscerally rewarding experience.

@chromescream No... I think it's referring to the level's name. It's not going to be like HL2. John Carmack confirmed it's meant for Classic DOOM fans. He's making it in mind for the DOOM fans. He also said that he enjoyed Classic DOOM 3 and would love to make DOOM 4's gameplay along the lines of that. Keep your fingers crossed man! ;)

It seems like they have lost touch for the last 10 years or. Just look at rage. ID software releasing a shooter with only driving mode as multiplayer? @Hellknight3d It's sad, too, since ID made the best old school shooter game's back in the 90's..now they lost their touch as you said, I mean Doom 3 was not that bad, but it could have used A LOT of work added to it to make it way better. That did piss me off, though, on RAGE, how they made driving mode as the only multiplayer tournament-I was looking forward to some shooting match's. Oh, well, ID will be remembered for the best as so will Bungie with Halo.

Same with RAGE, expect with RAGE the overhyped id tech 5, RAGE's graphics are pretty ugly, and the animations are pretty shitty. Not to mention it was just a crappy game in general, definalty the worst ID game ever. Doom 4 will be no different, cause carmack only cares about the graphics and could care less if the game is fun.
