Yeah... McCain's "bipartisanship" with Ted Kennedy and the Democrats is a good thing for America.
And granting 12-20 million illegal immigrants immediate legal status is a great thing! And when you realize that this number will balloon to well over 100 million within 15 years (and this is just from Latin America alone), this really becomes a fabulous thing indeed!!!
Both Florida's Republican Governor and Senator have just finished endorsing Senator McCain for the best interests of our nation. They do so because they understand that only a united REPUBLICAN PARTY can guarantee that President Bush's winning policies in Iraq will stay the course. McCain has been a staunch supporter of the occupation of Iraq since day 1 and will do everything in his power to guarantee that the War continues for many years to come. Our well being depends on it.
So, you mention Fred, who dropped out, but you don't mention Ron Paul, who's beaten Giuliani in every primary/caucus except for New Hampshire. Nice and biased... I mean balanced.
Romney is the one to put in charge. The GOP will lose with McCain, running on the war.
Romney is a billionaire with mooney to return in four years and run again, stalking the Democrat elect and running as a shadow President with the benefit of hindsight.
His many flip-flops will be forgotten, he's plasubily able to distance from the fundies and still pass their Judicial litmus tests.
Please let McCain run, he's a horrible candidate and has a voting record to run from.
McCain beats Romney in Florida. McCain gets the Republican Nomination. McCain handily beats Clinton in the national election. Then all thinking people everywhere start cutting themselves to ease the pain.
I hate to disagree with you but the "big story right now" and has been for a while is the how ALL candidates refuse to address REAL isssues and are really servants of the REAL powers of the world (eg. IMF, World bank, Multi-National corps).
If you don't know this already, you are excused and I kindly suggest you educate yourself. If you do know, you are disgusting lying propagandist and kindlt go away.
Why mention Ron Paul if you aren't going to say anything of substance about him? You think the Ron Paul supporters are appeased just because you mention his name? Why not try some real reporting on him instead of following the MSM?
Yeah, he just said hed be there and showed the dumbest micey picture of him for a hot second. He didnt mention him winning the LA caucus or raising over 1.5 mil in another single day. Josh is obviously for the dems anyway:(
I'm an avid follower of Josh Marshall and TPM Media's work -- it's fairly high quality and unique stuff. However, I'd love to see more real analysis of Ron Paul's position and influences in the Florida primaries. IMHO Fred Thompson was mentioned a bit too much for someone not even in the race anymore.
Who is voting for Ron Paul in Florida? Who would those voting for Paul vote for if Paul was not in the race?
Why even mention Rudy. He is not winning in any state and gets mentioned. Rudy is behind in New York. You are like the media, i had some respect for your views, but i now see that you can be biased.
imho the problem stems from the media wanting to be perceived as serious, so they chase the stories that the rest of the media chases. it's a pity josh and tpm do, given that we don't need a 5th media company to follow the other four... but tpm has pretty good insight and entertaining coverage so it's not all bad.
So Mr. Obama wants to do things differently. Sure. He jeopardized himself when he used personal slurs recently.
Quite a departure from promises given in his Iowa victory speech.
I was supportive of Mr. Obama - but I am now undecided. I will wait to see who is consistant like Mr. McCain is.
If I were an American citizen, either Hillary Clinton or John McCain would be my choices to vote for in the November Presidential election. TY for reading this comment

Of course, Ron Paul won't win, but garnering 10% of the vote makes him significant enough to discuss his impact in such a tight field.

I'd vote for RP but I'm a registered Dem and it's a closed primary, so I'm probably voting for Obama or Kucinich(sp).
