WHats with this Radiohead discussion, they sound nothing like Radiohead (my favorite band in all of history), Coldplay actually sounds more like Pink Floyd than radiohead, Coldplay has the eupohic type of "getting high" music just like pink floyd, except unlike Pink Floyd alot of their songs arent 8-30 minutes long. It makes more sense to compare them to Floyd than Radiohead. They just sound more Floyd than Radiohead.

I respect your opinion, but Coldplay themselves have expressed disappointment in X&Y, not saying it is a bad album, just that in my opinion its not there strongest effort. This is all a matter of taste and opinion, for me Viva is the best album of all time, well we'll see how long that last, once there new album comes out!

Personally I think Viva La Vida is their worst song to date, kinda ironic that it's their only number one! But yeah, Lovers In Japan, Life In Technicolor, Strawberry Swing, Violet Hill are fantastic songs, but on the other albums every song was fantastic :(

I have watched live Coldplay. I went to see them and wanted a refund. They were sad. They need to practice more or something. They could'nt even pull off 'The Hardest Part'--they had to just do a piano version. And when they played 'LOW' the tempo was so off I went to the bathroom. It was seriously subpar at best. But on record Coldplay is one of my favorite bands. Live,so pathetic! Chris Martin's stage presence is so rehearsed. Simply the worst concert I've ever paid to see.

I like it when bands play some songs just like the album, but I also want to to get creative and switch up the styles of other songs.
