These guys used to play in a club in Brewster NY called the "Fore & Aft" back in the late 70's. It was such a treat to have been present at many of their preformances back then. Cover bands at the time used to do their stuff. I only wish there were bands like this still around.
quadraphonic...far out.i was 2 when this came out.i can see how this music would bring back memories.anyway, heard this in the movie roadie.almost didnt watch it,glad i did.the movie was so-so to me,but this song made it worth it.growing up late 70's-80's, a lot of 60's-70's stuff was still on the radio, along with 80's stuff of course, but this era music always resonates with me.wasn't just a different time,it was a different world, simpler.
l used to see these guys a lot in the 70's they were a great local band when l wasgrrowing up in Booklyn,l wish someone would post a live perpormence by them from the old days, that would be magic....
Oh my.... does it get better? IT DOES NOT. As a west coaster... I sadly have never been drunk in a bar watching the Rats live... My one regret in Rock! My band has Played tasty and fireball express... but this is Peppi and is untouchable. LOVE this band.
Not only is this one of my favorite Good Rats songs, it is truly one of my all time favorites songs of any group. God bless Peppi Marchello, God bless The Good Rats and God Bless America!
I saw these guys a couple of times at a place called the Tow Path in Patterson NJ. That was the late 70's. They blew me away then and hearing them now, they still blow me away...
Only 2000 views, people have no idea how great this song is or how great the Good Rats were! it is a crime of titanic proportions these guys werent huge!
Peppi sings of lonliness, despartion, and wanting to meet someone in that macho soulful, bluesy voice of his.The greatest in rock n roll.
Peppi..........I am proud to know you and the guys.
I will forever be a fan of THE GOOD RATS!
Join us on FaceBook............I run the group and we would love to have all the Rat fans together again! Don't hate the ones who bring you Rock N Roll...!
@GroupieVee Yeah, Peppi sings with great emotion. I first heard this song when it came out- I must have 16 and was moved by it. Now, I'm a teacher and . . . well, let's just say the song hits home.
i must say i watch these guys all the time in st james and I own a buisness in this town and i chill wiith the baby rats from time to time and peppy should be proud for not only having a great band but raised good sons and their tunes are great too
Thank you 13jalopy for getting this on here. My brother brought home this album (on an 8 track) when I was a kid on Long Island. I could sing it from start to finish and it brings back great memories! Love the original sound!

Probably my favorite of all vocals from this group. I had the honor of seeing the original Good Rats in Rochester, NY in the late 70's.

A great vocal performance. I remember my friend Eric buying this album at Record world in the South Shore Mall. Good times.
