I remember when I first saw this as a kid. Before this episode, I was really scared of these guys. Their wide mouths made me think they were ghosts, and I used to leave the room when they came on.

My dad noticed, and sat down to watch it with me and explain it. When the blue one goes "ooh! what? What? What?" He said "See? They're not scary. They're silly little space men who want to know what earth stuff is."

The 'What what what' thing is to this day what made me start liking them.

This was my favorite one of the Martian episodes when I was a kid, and it still is ( I am 42 now ). My second favorite was the episode with the telephone, where they freak out when it starts to ring, and they make that great "bbbbbbbbb-ring" immitation.
