Can someone clarify where Rogers is getting his numbers? And why he says Blue Cross is cheaper for the same coverage (does he mean: the same coverage for a Medicare recipient? Or the same coverage from someone in a completely different age bracket? Or coverage that they won't have to pay because Medicare will cover it? That particular little nugget has completely confused me)

No one cares about what insurance they have. The only question that matters is whether you can choose your own doctor. Private insurers lock some doctors out of their network. A Medicare for all plan would allow you to choose the doctor you want.

Medicare has 3% overhead. Private insurers have 15% to 31%.

64% of Americans support a Medicare-for-all plan. 60% of Americans support a Medicare-for-all plan if it's paid for by increased payroll deductions.

The idea that Medicare is less efficient than private insurance is a total lie. Private insurers spend billions every year on useless bureaucracy so they can deny more claims and avoid paying our hospital bills.
