"When humanity is ready, the teacher appears." This is my huuuuuge problem with the commercially successful "the secret". This was a shallow piece of crap. Wrong teaching at the wrong time. It appealed first and foremost to peoples basest of longings (gold necklaces, trophy wives, mansions) What a crock of sh%*. I think humanity is not ready and therefore the the teacher has not yet appeared!

@mikegrecamusic Actually, if you watch The Secret 3 or 4 times, you'll start to see that there are large segements on relationships, health, and overall happiness. I think people think it's about money and "shallow" things because THEY are about money and shallow. The video acts as a mirror. Secondly, the only reason teachers like Abraham are on the scene now is because people ARE ready. The teachers have appeared because many students are ready, like Jerry, myself, and 1,000 of others! :)

He has a more thorough and humble take on Quantum theory and its relation to manifesting, taking into account the fallibility of ego mind.

@encryption Thank you, and in reply: because Christ was here to demonstrate Christ CONSCIOUSNESS, he was describing A STATE OF BEING that must be achhieved and even (passsed through, outgrown even) as we become one with Source. We expand, grow, create, and passinto that state of being, so we do in fact go through Christ on our way to God-hood, recognition of Self as both creator & CREATED. Also, "reputable" circles of theology do not interest me in the least. It's a compliment even! :)

I think you´ll find that the law of attraction means not have to try attracting anything. It´s that everything that you´ll ever need will be there for you when you need it, if you don´t fixate on the negative. Just become the positive end of the polarity because all is perception. Be happy with what you already have and more will come.

Thank you for the sharing and it is true that through nature we can understand what is expected from us as far as how to live and how to deal with others etc. However, life experience proved that some people need certain guidelines and directions in order to improve on their lives path even though you think that religions based on old knowledge yet most of the principle there are very practical up to our days, not mentioning all the prophesies!!!!

Excellent commentary! I agree that the Law of Attraction doesn't have to be at odds with established religious teachings. I find that some religious individuals view the Law of Attraction as some sort of hokey blasphemy, yet if one were to read through the teachings of all the great spiritual leaders (including Jesus), they pretty much spoke of the same concepts. I think that religious people take the texts too literally, and end up missing the real lesson that's being delivered.

Law of attraction has many names and I'm guessing that in the past, they have been called many things. Also, another strong Judeo-Christian example of LOA principles is the saying in Ecclesiastes 11:1 "Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days."

Then again, that is one rather depressing book in the Bible--depending on how you interpret it. :P

Careful, though. You WILL run into those who'll point out that the saying might be better translated "The Kingdom of Heaven is among you." This suggests that Jesus (the King) is among them, rather than that the Kingdom is within their--let's say--hearts. The proper response to that is to remind them that Jesus quoted the Old Testament saying that "Ye are gods." True, indeed. But that's the sort of thing people get killed for pointing out.

I'm afraid it is all about a kind of new religion, of whose core principles are far from the Truth. The power inside us is coming only from God, the mankind is not " self propelled" or fueled by itself.
