im working on a gcse design and technology exam. Im doin my project on knife holders and im making a new design, so if anyone has new ideas or reviews of their existing holders im rolling out the red carpet. your responses will be very very helpful. thanx!
You have to try different knives out. Each person prefers something different. I have a Henckels chef knife that I love... but I have a Shun santoku because it feels much better for me.
I have one at my house for steak knives. Any other sharp knives we have fit into a set, or we just keep them in a plastic container. Sounds awkward, but it works.
great tip, personally with young children i wouldn't suggest it, if they ever got ahold of them, watch out. They do sell locking magnetic knife holders, which are a bit more pricey, but worth the piece of mind. I agree though, never store knives in a drawer, not only is it not safe but can damage/ruin your knives and wear down the edge.

I have some Henckels and Dexter Russell knives that I like. My Santoku knife is great. It's made by Henckels as well. thanks for commenting!

Its important to attach knifes to the magnetic bar the right way - back first. Dont put them on the holder with the edge making the first contact.
