This is a great idea. I save plastic shopping bags to reuse and to use for trash and recycling, but to use them for crochet projects is the best idea I've heard in a long time.
please see clay throwers comment. I agree (I didn't find it too long though) What group is it? How can we help? You didn't give that info. Would like to help. Please add more detail. Way to go!!xxoo
Video is a bit long, but it is a great idea. Now, where can I buy one of those bags? Without HOW to help support this idea, the video doesn't do much more than make me say, "hey, that is a good idea. Hope it works out for them."
sheilascrafts, its quiet simple. the various colours come from the bags themselves! if u want a black bag, use black plastic bags as the 'yarn'. then its up to yor skill that u create colourful patterns as u go along!!
this is so awesome.. I cant believe that I was telling someone that I need to get expensive yarn in order to make my projects... this is inspirational
actually its not to hard if ur dedicated ive stated crocheting in 6th grade and it is cunfusing but after a while ull understand it and try acually learning in person its easier than watching videos
thats.... verry intresting and nice also awsome they helped out those people and this vid made me want to go out and help the people more than i already do :P
I crocheted a bag from plastic bags from Tesco, but it disintergrated into a load of flakes! :'(

Rough translation:
Jambo, jambo, bwana = Hello, hello, sir!
Habari gani? = How is it?/How are you?
Nzuri sana = very good
Wageni = visitors/guests
wakaribishwa = we welcome all of you
Kenya yetu = [to] our Kenya
Hakuna Matata = no troubles/worries
Our porters sang this to encourage us to keep walking as we summitted Mt. Kilimanjaro! Great memories!
And great project Kare4Kenya. I plan to use this idea where I now work in Nigeria.

i wish i had friends who care about the environment as much as i do:\
then we could pick up plastic bags from the street together cause it's pretty hard to just do that alone:)(but those are only dreams:()
