I had this album (along with around 100 others) stolen from my dorm room over a break in 1980. I have been mentally recovering what I lost and replacing that vinyl as my memory is prompted. Thanks to youtube another item has been added to the list.
By coincidence I listened to Satori again a few weeks ago and thus began another round of recommending it to anyone who would listen. Then I heard that Joe Yamanaka died, so now it is all about paying respect to this excellent musician and inspiring performer. But also, Brandon, thanks for your excellent review, it was a worthy and honest tribute to this fantastic album
A friend of mine just introduced me to this band!!! where have I been for the last 40 years!!!! Great review!!!! Got to check out the rest of the vids also I am a new Fan of the Flower Travellin Band!!!
hey! here from Spain! I like psychedelic music and blues and I just have known the Flower Travelling Band. They are amazing !! By the way, great review :)
I'm from Canada. Not many people here know about Flower Travellin' Band, but I'm hoping this video helps to change that. I saw them last year at SXSW in Austin, and yes, they are still very cool!
All of your videos are fucking great man! I really appreciate that some people, are putting focus on some old "real" rock n roll bands! Thanks from denmark!
Good stuff. I came across this via a Roger The Engineer search.

Another terrific heavy Japanese band is Blues Creation. Check out Demon and Eleven Children by them.

I think Jimi Hendrix is the closest in style to the riff sounds I hear in this album.
Then again, Jimi was revolutionary in and of himself...
