  • I meant make cachophony sound melodius.

  • This is what i understood from the first 35 seconds. "s g2 r3 m1 d1 s - s n3 d3 p m1 g2 r2 s". This guy can cacophony melodius.

  • @vijayshuna It's s g2 r2 m1 p S, S n3 d3 p m1 g2 r2 s. vIravasantam is a beautiful vivadhi rAgA. To call it a cacophony however is certainly unfair. And you're right, U Srinivas has played it in a very melodious manner.

  • @ashwinrohin Thanks for the correction. karnatik.com/ragasv.shtml does however say that this ragam is varunapriya the 24th mela. I quote

    varuNapriyA (vIravasantam) 24 varuNapriyA mela Aa: S R2 G2 M1 P D3 N3 S Av: S N3 D3 P M1 G2 R2 S Called vIravasantam (S R2 G2 M1 P S - S N3 D3 P M1 G2 R2 S) in the Dikshitar (asampUrna mela) system

But When Srinivas played aroh, he chose s g2 r2. Any reason?

  • Can anybody kindly tell me which raagam is this composition ?

  • great stuff

  • Beautiful performance!!!
