The 60s were a great time for pop-soundtracks. Our Man Flint and In Like Flint were among the best. About the same time, Lalo Schifrin was doing the music for Murderers Row. Also, can't leave out John Barry, who wrote great music for the James Bond films. And there was even the soundtrack for the first Casino Royale movie, with the music of Bacharach and Alpert.
Hollywoods out of ideas, won't be long before they play with this again.
