That is the reason I never went to any college, Christian or secular. Who wants to hear about what fool talking about his (or her) credentials for what they bring to the Lord's table. It is totally ungodly. Robert Morey needs to read Psalms 82, it comes to mind. We don't have (talking as a Christian) anything except what the Lord.

My 3 year old can read 40 books a minute, and probably understands as less as Morey. Reading and comprehending are two different things. Anyone can read fast.

Too much is involved with a person's credentials. As' we know all or most of the accredited schools are nothing but a bunch of dredge mills. Meaning there is so much put in, but so little comes out of it. People are either willing to learn or they are not. I am someone who has a very high IQ, but I had no want to go to any college.

In fact, it was not long after I was "born again" (John 3:3-8) back in the early 1980s that the Lord had me discover Walter on the radio & in the Christian bookstores with his "Kingdom of the Cults" & other books. To this day I still have approximately 150 of Walter's audio cassettes in my library. He inspired my own apologetics ministry. Morey is no Walter!

Dear "CRoadwarrior" sorry it took me awhile to reply back, I have been extremely busy. Great job, "7 Campus Curses" is one of my favorite Walter Martin audios. I must have listened to that tape 25 times over the years. We have conducted college campus ministry for years (example, see "Satan in Your Nose & Other Muslim Teaching" on Youtube where we are debating hostile Muslim students on a major university campus). I've listened to that tape many times before going to campus. Keep it up!

It's interesting to see that "Lucan11" has a high regard for Walter Martin an evangelical. However, to say that no evangelical is a real Church historian or patristic scholar is bogus & easily refuted by simply going to major evangelical publishing companies & reviewing the large number of Ph.D. authors available for each publisher. Orthodox academic theologians as well as any others could just as easily see that Faith Defenders Robert Morey is a "joke" as you said. Overall you are 50% right.

I was evangelical for 20 years, and now Orthodox for 16. There is no comparison with scholarship. There are NO patristic scholars or real historians and scholars in evengelicalism. The world of modern academic scholars do not take evangelicals seriously.

Robert Morey, perhaps driven by his own pride, envy & a false degree he tried to claim from Faith Theological Seminary in Pakistan & elsewhere (see "moriel org." and "saintaugustinian blogspot" for much more information concerning that), feels a need to drag others down in order to not only make himself feel better but to try to embellish himself at the same time.  Morey's poor scholarship & fraudulent activities are well documented for all to see (search "Robert Morey" on Yahoo Video for info).

Well said "rightydivide08" since knowing the Word of God (the Bible) is always better than putting your faith in these so-called "scholar" teachers like Morey. For years Morey, because Morey knows his "scholoarship" is faulty, has had to attack other Christians in order to build himself up, and for what? One reason is so he can make money at this "Christian Apologetics" game he is playing with the public. His use of slander, fraud, & personal aggrandizement is all geared for this - money.
