This is the melody of a club called America, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Just check their anthem writting "hino do america" at youtube search. It was awarded the most beautiful brazilian club anthem. But america is nowadays on brazilian fourth division.
It's amazing to find that this famous old, old song has a connection to an Australian football club. This must have traveled down there with vaudeville around 1912 and stuck. Betty Hutton did a socko version of it in the movie "Incendiary Blonde". You can find it here on You Tube.
Absolutely Delightful!! I play this very old tune at nursing homes here in the United States. I believe it came out of the Ziegfeld Follies. Great job, keep up the great playing!
Very well played! Just for curiosity, this is also the anthem of another football team: America Football Club of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Look for "Hino do America RJ - memoria socram" on youtube. Greetings from Brazil.
Hi there mate, I fully love this tune. Loved playing it with you and I have viewed this clip a dozen of times. Thanks for your time in playing for this clip. Look forward to the next jam. God bless Hornett!.... From Hector.
