  • @misscheriepie her body is long thin and flexible like the bamboo, her nails are life bamboo leaf in the wind this is also why her costume is green and light. she is the bamboo, it represent a personification of the vegetal

    Es una bailarina deliciosa

  • question:

is dai the dancing type name

or the enicity that does this dance?

-hehehehe my first time seeing such a beautiful dance

  • Oh my god she can bend side ways 90 degrees. I never know such things. Ok now I have another aim is to train and hopefully one day able to stretch and bend like hers.

  • So beautiful how the very best of Ballet and Indian/Hindi are culminated to praise beautiful in the most common plant. That is giving highest honor to God in even the most basic creation/manifestation. Love it completely. Thank you so much for posting this.

  • Because where the Dai dance come has a lot of bamboos. Therefore, many Dai dances have names about bamboo. XD

  • I shall now wake up every morning to this music as my alarm, and arise out of my comforter like they are lotus leaves and start out my day with this dance as my stretch XD

  • this dance is amazing. not only does it shows flexibility but, elegance and beauty.

im pretty sure these dance are not simple to learn. though some people may find these dances boring, all dance have there ups and downs. but i think these are wonderful.

  • well danced; emotions are well expressed

    (grace blooms as once

    and present spirit approaches

and joyful courage swells against the wings )

  • Goddess bless the creative expression of the human spirit in all of it's beauty and diversity...

  • Not Chinese dancers...This is Tai (Thai or Dai) Lue dancers that live in Sipsongpanna in Yunnan Province.

  • xi shuang ban na is in China, Yunnan Province is in China. I guess you are not familiar with Chinese geography then.

dancer according to the intro is Jiang Tiehong. (same as the green fairy video)

  • Are you sure that Jiang Tiehong is her name? Tai Yuan people like me call Tai Lue's town ''Jinghong'' Jiang Hong. Just like I call my hometown Jiang Hai instead of the Siamese version ''Chiang Rai''.

i'm using this song for an audition infact, and used many moves in this video!

  • What is it called? I'd love to know the name!

  • What is the song called? It's gorgeous!

  • @cathypuiyu

  • Its the SAME dancer

  • Comment removed

  • It's the same dancer, same dance. This one is the stage version while the other one is the TV version.

  • Comment removed

  • No, it really is the same dancer. The names are the same. She just did one for the stage and one for TV. It's the SAME dancer. The TV one may seem less cohesive because TV requires lots of takes, but it is the same dancer.

  • Gotcha ;) They didn't even look the same... but I guess it was just the lighting. Great job on that one dance you did. I didn't know you were a Chinese dancer, yourself! I've been wanting to learn it, especially Dai. How did you get involved? Are you a professional? Do you come to the states at all to perform?

  • its nice and her body is sooo flexible...

  • wow this one is like the green fairy one and shes pretty

  • oh i lovee her costume!

and she has such nice lines

  • loved it thank u!

  • the dance is not exactly the same, and i like the green fairy dancer better she has longer, more expressive fingers (something rather critical in Dai dance) than this dancer does.

  • wow i wish i was flexible.. >_< Love Dai Zu dances
